Our project managers were chuffed to oversee a recently completed office fit-out for L.E.K. Consulting – a global business strategy consultancy – on the 26th floor of the remarkable Aurora Place. Partnering with Aston Consulting, WT (Australia) and Renascent, our legends transformed the existing office into a workplace oasis set for collaboration, wellbeing and deep work. They also joined forces with the artistic minds at Hassell – who brought a unique and sophisticated vision to the project. Surrounded by iconic Sydney views, some of the office’s striking features include: 🌿 Open workspaces and meeting rooms kitted out in the latest team collaboration tech 🌿 A boardroom with operable, multi-function walls 🌿 Bold feature lighting 🌿 An inviting, circular kitchen designed like a cosy café L.E.K. We’ve got more good news coming out of Acuity’s headquarters today! We’re leaping towards reconciliation by crafting a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in partnership with TRIMOB Australia – a First Nations-led organisation. With TRIMOB’s support, we’ll: ✅ Develop and deliver a RAP with supporting KPIs to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for us and First Nations communities and businesses ✅ Foster genuine relationships with First Nations people, communities, organisations and businesses ✅ Grow our understanding and knowledge of First Nations people, culture and history In developing our RAP, it was essential to find a partner whose values aligned with ours. And we’re delighted that TRIMOB’s values do just that – making TRIMOB the perfect partner to guide us on our reconciliation journey. But enough about us! When Sydney Water decided to rejuvenate its Parramatta headquarters, we were delighted to be part of the project. Working closely with LCI Consultants, WT (Australia) and Buildcorp, we transformed the 15-floor space into a workplace oasis, informed by a clever, fresh concept by GroupGSA. The new spaces needed to align with Sydney Water’s current and future needs. Therefore, each floor emphasises collaboration, with designated zones for private work and wellness. The design also pays homage to nature by taking inspiration from billabongs. Shades of blue and green infuse the furnishings, with deeper tones featuring in the central collaborative zones. The project team made significant efforts to restore and repurpose existing elements, too – like wood panelling and anodised metal skirting. This approach reduced architectural and services costs. Some other notable features of this reimagined space include: 👉 Wellness rooms with yoga amenities 👉 A games area featuring stadium-style seating 👉 Specially designed zones for prayer and parenting needs 👉 A neurodivergent-friendly room with soft furnishings and adjustable lighting 👉 Utility areas for storing essential uniforms and equipment for off-site staff Well done to Roxanne Mann and Graham Grobler, who were Acuity’s PMs on this impressive project. Socialising after hours is never a chore when you only work with legends 🙌 Our Victorian team embraced that sentiment this month, attending two events filled with moments we’ll be talking about for weeks. The first was the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) – followed by a delicious dinner at Thai Tide. The laughter came thick and fast (with only the occasional snort) as Nath Valvo delivered punchline after punchline about relationships and renting at 40. The second event? An Eid al-Fitr celebration featuring a Moroccan feast prepared by Senior Project Manager, Amal Iharkachen.
