Back in 2006, 3Shape opened an office in Kyiv, Ukraine with five employees. The team consisted of a couple of programmers and testing engineers. Eighteen years later 3Shape is now celebrating our anniversary there with more than five hundred employees in Kyiv and still growing. Join us in congratulating the Ukrainian team on 18 years of success and dedication! “In the brief time I have been general manager here, I’ve experienced the pride and determination of my fellow colleagues and friends. They continue to contribute to building a world leader in innovative patient care and digital dentistry despite the daily challenges of life here in Kyiv. I’m so proud of them and our company for their unwavering support and commitment,” said 3Shape General Manager Ukraine, Ninel Lugivska. To mark the occasion, Denmark’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, spoke at the celebration. It was an honor for 3Shape to have the Ambassador as a guest and we greatly appreciate his consideration and interest in our colleagues and company. The Ambassador was joined by 3Shape CTO, Niclas Blohm and Sr. Vice President for Product Strategy, Rune Fisker. The event included music, food, and dancing. With cake and fireworks to close the evening before the city’s evening curfew went into effect. #digitaldentistry

Top 3Shape scanner developer, Isak Mottelson interviewed by Danish trade magazine. 😎 Danish magazine, Version2/Ingeniøren, recently spoke with 3Shape’s Isak Mottelson regarding his work with 3Shape’s award-winning TRIOS intraoral scanner. In the article, Mottelson talks about his team’s daily challenges with edge computing and in crunching the enormous amounts of data a wireless TRIOS intraoral scanner needs to transmit. He describes how managing distortion or noise in data is one of the chief challenges for he and his team. Discovering solutions to these types of challenges can be demonstrated by our company’s 605 patents. Mottelson is personally responsible for more than ten of the 3Shape’s current patent applications. 3Shape Product Manager, Anders Bratås talks about TRIOS Core – our newest intraoral scanner that features TRIOS technology distilled down to its most essential and affordable form. 🦷💻 💬 Anders Bratås: “Working on the TRIOS Core-team felt like being part of a close-knit community. The team was always supportive, and when deadlines got tight, everyone stepped up to keep us on track. In know it might sound cliche, but it's true!” We asked Anders what his biggest challenges and takeaways from the project were. 💬 “I believe one of the main challenges was providing markets with the TRIOS Core prototypes ahead of the launch, it required a well-coordinated team effort. It is essential to give resellers, for example, an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the scanner and be able to train their sales staff ahead of time. Consequently, that makes it easier for dentists and labs to make more informed decisions when it comes time to choosing the right scanner for their needs. My biggest win and takeaway was being able to deliver a new product (my first 3Shape product launch) on time, despite a very tight and bumpy timeline. This was made possible only through outstanding teamwork.” Among the coolest features in the TRIOS Core, Anders highlighted: 💬 “I think that the Pod with USB-C support is awesome. However, I believe the standout achievement is creating a state-of-the-art scanner that delivers award-winning TRIOS technology at a very competitive price.” Thank you to Anders and the team for your tremendous effort! What is psychological safety, and why does it matter for team performance? 🚀 These were key topics in our workshop on psychological safety, hosted in collaboration with @Agile Copenhagen. Guest speaker Philip Juhl who is software developer, scrum master, and agile coach, explored how psychological safety boosts team performance, how to measure it, and tools to implement it effectively. 💬 “It’s about creating an environment where people feel safe to take risks and speak openly without fear of negative consequences,” said Philip Juhl. 💬 Stefan Eskam added, “In 3Shape, fostering psychological safety is crucial.
