Building strong communities where young people are seen, heard and supported to unearth their spark
About us
12 Buckets is a Perth-based charity that strives to equip young people in need of mentoring with the skills, support and connections to build a strong future. The 12 Buckets Mentoring programs are tailored to support young people to build resilience and work towards a brighter future. The 12 Buckets program focuses on 12 areas deemed important for overall wellbeing. These areas fall under the four categories of responsibility, community, mastery, and generosity. The bucket image remains the key element that shapes the 12 Buckets program and it represents the underlying philosophy that fullness in life comes when you pour yourself out for others. WE IMAGINE... School-aged children, regardless of background or circumstance, having every opportunity to flourish. WE STRIVE... To equip children in need of mentoring with the skills, support and connections needed to build a strong future. WE CELEBRATE... The development of independent young people contributing to their community through honed skills and generosity.

In Term 3 we focus on Generosity and explore 📗Kindness📗 Support 📗Forgiveness Young people who have opportunities to practice, develop and increase their confidence in acts of generosity look forward to being able to contribute to their communities and create space for kindness and forgiveness to themselves. We thought we would share a throw back photo to our kindness rocks in 2023, where our young people designed rocks with affirmations and hid them around their school and local community for others to find. 🔎Some are still hidden waiting to be found to spread their kindness🔎 👀Look out for our 12 Buckets Generosity stories over the next 10 weeks... As NAIDOC week comes to a close it’s important to reflect on what we can do to continue to keep the reconciliation fire burning beyond this week🔥🔥🔥 This week 12 Buckets organised for our young people to attend the NAIDOC event in Mirrabooka. They had so much fun connecting with others in their community and learning more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture at the event. Thank you to event organisers for an amazing event! 🖤❤️💛Let’s keep the fire burning 🔥 🔥🔥

DUG has been a longstanding corporate supporter of 12 Buckets. Recently they collected empty bottles and recycled them through the Containers for Change (WARRRL) donating their money to 12 Buckets. Not only are DUG innovators and changemakers in the tech world, they are also innovators and changemakers in how they support their local community. Anyone interested in being a changemaker like DUG please feel free to utilise our Containers for Change code : C10411804
At DUG, we believe in giving back to our community, and in particular, supporting education for all and nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators and change-makers. For over a decade we have been a proud partner of 12 Buckets Inc, a Perth-based charity striving to equip disadvantaged primary students in need of mentoring with the skills, support and connections to build a strong future. This year we’re thrilled to be a part of their Containers for Change initiative! As the first week of collections concludes, we look forward to donating all our proceeds to 12 Buckets’ good cause. Every can, every bottle—and every dollar—makes a difference!
