At the recently concluded CIDPEX (China International Disposable Paper Expo) 2024 in Nanjing, China, VEOCEL™, under the theme of “CARE TOGETHER”, invited all value chain partners and brands to embark on the journey of sustainability in the non-woven industry.    Lenzing and VEOCEL™ have made the most significant contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a variety of activities. VEOCEL™’s responsible practices and innovative products enable its customers and value chain partners to improve their environmental and social performance, and achieve their corporate sustainability targets right from the beginning of the value chains.    In addition to showcasing the application of VEOCEL™️ branded fibers in body, beauty, intimate, and flushable products, VEOCEL™ also engaged visitors with its in-booth interactive game “Care Together. Join us in the sustainable journey” to inspire visitors about the importance of ESG and SDG. This initiative generated over 1000 votes for effective sustainability efforts. Within this solvent-spinning process, the process water is recycled, and the solvent is recovered at a rate of more than 99%. We also continue to invest in new product development, such as launching TCF (total chlorine-free) variants of our Lyocell and Viscose fibers or launching flushable Lyocell fibers with high dispersibility, which would contribute to achieving a better future for both our environment and consumers. Additional measures adopted by us to protect the planet include setting a net-zero carbon emission goal by 2050 and working closely with our value chain partners to promote a circular economy across the nonwoven industry. Additionally, our VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers generate 50% fewer carbon emissions*** in comparison with generic lyocell.
