The future of society gets to know our green future 🌿 Recently, friends and families of voestalpine Grobblech GmbH-employees had the opportunity to visit the plant and gain a deeper insight into the company and everyday working life. The whole event was framed by an appealing social program which offered entertainment for the whole family. Michaela Kraus and Stefanie Wieser were invited to host a "sustainability lounge" where they gave interactive presentations about greentec steel for the whole family but especially for the little ones. We were filled with joy and optimism that children were interested in our path to a greener future. 🗝 Circular Economy is key! 🌿 Sustainability Manager Dominik Füreder was delighted to give one of the keynotes at the NEXT Studio by WICONA Partners Expert Forum. It was all about future circular concepts for the construction industry. ♻ Steel can be recycled again and again and will therefore continue to play an important role in the future. However, the availability of "clean" recycled material is one of the issues we are currently working on intensively. 🤝 It was a great event with exciting presentations and time for networking. Elisabeth Arnold and Felix Lohrmann, who work on innovations in the construction sector at voestalpine's nbi (new business incubator), were also on site for an inspiring exchange with the industry experts present. 💚A big thank you to all speakers for the inspiring event! Celebrating over 30 years of partnership with a shared commitment to sustainability ♻ We are excited to announce that SNAR Laminati Srl, a re-roller of high-quality high-carbon and alloy steel strips for blanking and stamping, has received its first delivery of steel in the greentec steel Edition - premium quality with reduced carbon footprint from voestalpine Steel Division. 🎉   Ludovico Giordani from SNAR stated "greentec steel Edition perfectly aligns with SNAR's environmental and sustainability goals, reinforcing our shared vision for a greener future." Half-time for the greentec steel investment program in Linz and the preparations for the electric arc furnace (EAF) are on schedule ✅. The site in Linz is increasingly changing and will continue to do so. The newly constructed raw material supply system, the new new ladle tilting stand and the new pig iron hardening plant are just some of the many visible results so far. With the EAF in Linz, voestalpine will be able to produce around 1.6 million tons of CO₂-reduced steel on site.

Pursuing the same goal: 🚗 Driving sustainability forward! ZF Group is a global technology group and has been a strategic partner of voestalpine for over 40 years. The company manufactures transmissions for combustion engines as well as electric motors. The recently signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) shows that ZF will continue to rely on voestalpine in the future; namely on voestalpine premium quality with a reduced carbon footprint (greentec steel edition).
