LENZING™ Industrial has long been dedicated to producing high-performance Lyocell to meet the various needs of our partners, from workwear products to demanding industrial applications.   Advanced Wound Care is a demanding market segment, providing specialized treatment for chronic or non-healing wounds. Such products include dressings, wound debridement articles, and cleansers. LENZING™ Lyocell can be provided in multiple forms, including fibers and tow. Tow comprises a bundle of parallel filaments that can be dried and treated to meet various process application needs. Led by the United Nations Office for Partnerships and the Fashion Impact Fund, the recent United Nations Fashion and Lifestyle Annual Meeting was more than just a gathering, it was a testament to the power of collective action in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals within the fashion and lifestyle sectors.    We, at Lenzing, were honored to be part of this transformative event, which allowed us to highlight our commitment to environmental responsibility. This commitment is evident in our work to transform nonwoven materials made from cellulosic LENZING™ fibers for glacier protection. Our continuous efforts also emphasize our dedication to fostering a circular economy in the nonwoven industry.   Our very own Sharon Pérez Arevalo, Senior Business Development Manager at Lenzing Group, took the stage as a speaker on the “Glacial Threads: From Forests to Future Textiles” panel. She shared insights on our innovative pilot glacier project, which combines sustainable glacier protection with textile circularity.   Crafted from LENZING™ cellulosic fibers derived from renewable source – wood, the geotextiles are biodegradable in soil and fresh water. They serve as a protective shield for glaciers, slowing their melting and curbing microplastic pollution. LENZING™ Industrial will push for the adoption of cellulosic materials over previously used fossil fuel-based synthetic materials in the production of filter media. We aim to provide lower-carbon solutions to stakeholder issues and to drive sustainable development across the value chain in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.   With a microfibrillar structure, good thermal stability, and chemical resistance, LENZING™ Lyocell fibers are well suited for use in various types of filter media. Their cellulosic composition contributes to compatibility with natural cellulosic and synthetic fiber types and binders. LENZING™ Lyocell fibers can be fibrillated via wet abrasion in a separate step prior to the papermaking process.
