As part of my trip to Canada, I had a privilege to speak at the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS)'s annual Heads & Chairs Conference in Halifax. Interesting conversations about the status quo and future of Canadian #boarding. In particular, during our session we looked at how #Canada compares to its main competitive destinations, mostly #UK, #US and #Australia, and what are some of the recently trending approaches in international student recruitment and how sector should further adapt. Among key factors, we see increasing customer communication through more touch points; building partnerships by expanding networks with agents and stakeholders; strengthening presence in source markets through events; focusing on diversification strategies to identify high-ROI markets; adapting offerings with short-term programs; and considering opening new campuses in high-demand source markets. A big thank you to Anand M., Luke Seamone, and the rest of their colleagues from #CAIS and #CBC for organizing this conference, and an equally heartfelt thanks to all participants for making the sessions so engaging. #intled
