OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.


Your tasks


  • Develop and deliver timely cost estimates for capital projects, including proper documentation and necessary reports.
  • Utilize cost methodologies and tools, considering project complexity factors and input data for accurate estimates.
  • Assess project scope and manage components to develop consistent building block estimates for each concept.
  • Translate project scope and engineering deliverables into cost estimates for various project stages.
  • Provide coaching and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Perform deterministic and quantitative cost risk analysis, integrating it with schedule risk analysis.
  • Conduct estimate and schedule reviews and participate in assurance events as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an internal project cost database and deliver benchmarking analysis.


Your profile


  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Al least 9 years of relevant work experience in cost estimating of projects in the energy/plant construction sector.
  • Exposure to brownfield projects will be considered advantageous.
  • Experience in developing cost estimates in all project phases, from early concept stages to project implementation (conceptual cost estimates, parametric cost estimates, bottom-up cost estimates)
  • Ability to apply cost estimating methodologies consistently and deal appropriately with detail.
  • Ability to judge, assess and quantify project risks and propose mitigation measures for key risks.
  • Fluent in English.
