Requesting identity documents, registering a vehicle, collecting a driving licence – a visit to the authorities is usually something of a chore. But not in Feldkirch, where the District Commission now offers residents a particularly friendly welcome. The reception area in this historic listed building complex has been upgraded with a glass porch designed by architects Gohm Hiessberger. A #CIELUMA light ceiling by our Zumtobel Lighting brand printed with a design by Feldkirch-born artist Gerold Tagwerker welcomes visitors in the new light-filled foyer, while inside the building, high-quality, state-of-the-art LED lighting provides human-centric, standard-compliant light and is a much more energy-efficient solution than its predecessor. Our Zumtobel Lighting brand supported this year’s Waterlight Festival. The sixth edition of the South Tyrolean festival was dedicated to raising awareness of treating nature respectfully and using water sustainably, as the valuable resource it is. While anchoring local traditions, the festival also sensitised guests to behave consciously and in an environmentally friendly way. 37 light art installations were on display in Brixen and Neustift from 24 April to 29 June, featuring 34 artists. 93,000 visitors attended the festival this year. The Beirut-born architect Lina Ghotmeh is this year's designer of the Zumtobel Group's annual report. In this statement, Lina provides a first idea of what the book will be about. Congratulations to Zumtobel Lighting for bringing home a quadruple win! This spring, the Zumtobel Group's lighting brand Zumtobel received four awards for outstanding product design: luminaire ARTELEA won the iF DESIGN Award in the "Free-standing Luminaire" category and, together with the SLOTLIGHT infinity II continuous-row luminaire, was also honored with the Red Dot Design Award in the "Product Design" category. Last but not least, the IZURA concept luminaire won the Red Dot Award in the "Design Concept" category, which was given out for the first time. Read more on https://lnkd.in/dGuYxDK6

The ball has been rolling since mid-June. The European football championships are currently held in ten German stadiums. One of them is the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in Dortmund, Germany. With a capacity of 81,000 seats, the home venue of BVB Borussia Dortmund is Germany’s largest football stadium. In preparation for the tournament and to meet the UEFA requirements, the Zumtobel Group was given the opportunity to develop and implement a complete lighting concept. In the course of this project, the lighting of the football pitch was renewed, among other things. More than 250 LED floodlights by Thorn Lighting, a brand of the Zumtobel Group, were installed. With their excellent colour reproduction, the floodlights provide for flicker-free operation to support HDTV broadcasts and super-slow-motion. In addition, they are connected through a network system allowing flexible control and dynamic light effects in real time.  Marwin Schmidt (31), who started his professional career immediately after his training as an industrial clerk with the Zumtobel Group and works as Team Leader Customer Specialist in Germany today, played an important part in the project. The Zumtobel Group’s brands Thorn Lighting and Zumtobel Lighting provide their customers with the best possible experience and continuously improve their products and services. To keep this up, we conduct yearly brand equity monitorings, where we learn about brand perception and possible areas of improvement. Just as last year, we collaborated with the organisation Wald4Leben, a reforestation project in Austria: For every customer feedback, a tree is planted. In addition to the 300 trees planted last year, we have been able to add another 529 trees as part of this year's survey. #ZGcares
