Eröffnung des Mega-Solarparks ☀️ Trommelwirbel...🥁 es ist so weit! Die Photovoltaikanlage der Wien Energie GmbH ist jetzt offiziell eröffnet! Sie ist nicht nur eine der größten Österreichs, sondern mit bis zu 85 Prozent Gefälle auch die steilste Anlage des Energieversorgers. 26.488 PV-Module hat das STRABAG Projektteam in sorgfältiger Handarbeit für den Megapark verbaut. Die Module erzeugen eine Leistung von 15 Megawatt. Das sind etwa 5.000 Haushalte in der Steiermark, die in einem Jahr mit sauberer Energie versorgt werden. 🌱🔌 Die Fläche wird nicht nur für die Erzeugung grüner Energie genutzt: Unter der Anlage werden sich in Zukunft Schafe satt fressen und halten das Ökosystem des PV-Parks so gleichzeitig in Schuss. Die natürlichen Rasenmäher sorgen dafür, dass die Wiese nicht zu hochwächst und regelmäßig gedüngt wird. 🐑 Dank der Nutzung von erneuerbaren Energien kann die Gemeinde Ratten jährlich bis zu 57.000 Tonnen CO2 einsparen. 👛 Gar nicht schlecht, oder? . Opening of the mega solar park ☀️ Drum roll... 🥁 the time has come! The Wien Energie GmbH photovoltaic system is now officially open! Not only is it one of the largest in Austria, but with a gradient of up to 85 per cent it is also the energy supplier's steepest installation. The STRABAG project team installed 26,488 PV modules by hand for the megapark. The modules generate an output of 15 megawatts. That's around 5,000 households in Styria that will be supplied with clean energy in a year. 🌱🔌 The area is not only used to generate green energy: Sheep will eat their fill under the system in future, keeping the PV park's ecosystem in good shape at the same time. The natural lawnmowers ensure that the meadow does not grow too tall and is fertilised regularly. 🐑 Thanks to the use of renewable energy, the municipality of Ratten can save up to 57,000 tonnes of CO2 every year. 👛 Not bad, right? . . #strabag #wienenergie #workonprogress #renewableenergy #solarenergy

A link to the past 🔗 Many of you have probably already heard of time capsules in connection with the laying of foundation stones for buildings - but do you know why they exist and what they really contain? 1️⃣ A time capsule is an airtight and watertight object that is sometimes inserted into the masonry when laying the foundation stone of a building. The contents of the capsule usually are objects typical of the period, which are preserved in this way for future generations. 2️⃣ Time capsules are inserted into a cavity behind or under the foundation stone slab. However, there are also foundation stones that are hollow for precisely this purpose. At best, no structural measures are required to bring them back to light. 3️⃣ The capsules themselves are usually made of a durable material, such as copper or stainless steel. After all, they have the important task of protecting their contents from the elements and standing the test of time. 4️⃣ The contents vary depending on the building and the occasion. Whether deeds, coins or current newspaper articles - the capsules may contain anything. This way, they preserve a piece of history for the building owners. 5️⃣ Numerous time capsules are also installed in our construction projects, such as in the Französischer Saal of the Künstlerhaus in Vienna. Warum wir Brücken mit Absicht abreißen! 💥⬇️ Das Bauen auf bestehenden Strukturen, also Bauen im Bestand, ist ein wichtiges Handlungsfeld des modernen Bauwesens. Ein tolles Beispiel dafür: Die Brücke beim Schloss Eschenlohe im Ultental, St. Pankraz, Südtirol. Bei diesem Symbol der alpinen Mobilität ging in den letzten Monaten bei den Bauarbeiten einiges weiter - ihr erinnert euch vielleicht noch an unser Posting dazu. 💭 Ganz im Sinne von Bauen im Bestand wurde die alte Brücke als temporäres Traggerüst genutzt. Genauer gesagt: Die neue Brücke wurde direkt auf der alten Konstruktion aufgebaut. Dabei hat unser Team hochmoderne Ingenieurstechniken angewandt. Jetzt, da der neue Brückenbogen fertig ist, hat die alte Brücke nun ausgedient und wurde vor wenigen Wochen erfolgreich abgetragen.💨 Wir freuen uns über die enge Zusammenarbeit von öffentlicher Hand und privaten Partnern gemeinsam mit unseren Kolleg:innen. Why we deliberately burn - or rather take down - old bridges 💥⬇️ Building on existing structures is an important field of activity in modern construction. A great example of this is the bridge of Castel Eschenlohe in Val d'Último, St. Pankraz, South Tyrol. Construction work on this symbol of Alpine mobility has continued in recent months - you might remember our post about it. 💭 The old bridge was used as a temporary shoring structure in the spirit of building in existing structures. To be more precise: the new bridge was built directly on top of the old structure. Our team used state-of-the-art engineering techniques in the process. Now that the new bridge arch is complete, the old bridge has now had its day and was successfully removed a few weeks ago.💨 We are delighted about the close cooperation between the public sector and private partners together with our colleagues. Ausbildung auf gutem Fundament 🏗️🌱 Die ungarische Stadt Székesfehérvár in Ungarn ist bekannt für ihre Geschichte und kulturelle Vielfalt. Als "Stadt der Könige", da sie die Krönungsstadt ungarischer Könige war, hat sie einen Eindruck hinterlassen. 👑 Bei uns und unseren ungarischen Kolleg:innen sorgte die Grundsteinlegung eines neuen STRABAG-Büro- und Schulungszentrums für Eindruck. 👀 Das Schulungszentrum konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung der Fähigkeiten unserer Mitarbeiter:innen im Bau- und Ingenieurswesen, um sicherzustellen, dass sie mit den neuesten Technologien auf dem Laufenden bleiben. 450 Personen pro Jahr können hier ihren beruflichen Horizont erweitern, während die Büros für 30 Personen Platz bieten. Das moderne Gebäude wird barrierefrei und nach neuesten Energiestandards geplant. Es verfügt über energieeffiziente Systeme, eine Elektroladestation und eine Solaranlage. Eine weitere Besonderheit? Der Frontlader- und Baggermaschinen Simulationsraum, in dem die Bedienung von Maschinen unter realistischen Bedingungen geübt werden kann. . As the "City of Kings" - being the coronation city of Hungarian kings - it has left an impression. 👑 The laying of the foundation stone of a new STRABAG office and training centre made an impression on us and our Hungarian colleagues. 👀 The training centre focuses on developing the skills of our construction and engineering employees to ensure they keep up to date with the latest technologies. 450 people per year can broaden their professional horizons here, while the offices can accommodate 30 people. The modern building will be barrier-free and designed according to the latest energy standards. It has energy-efficient systems, an electric charging station and a solar installation. Another special feature? Was haben Franklin D. Roosevelt, STRABAG und die Slowakei gemeinsam?🤔 Sie alle verbindet ein Großprojekt im slowakischen Banská Bystrica! Der ehemalige amerikanische Präsident ist Namensgeber der Roosevelt Klinik, die wir bis 2029 erweitern. Unser Auftrag: veraltete Gebäude entfernen und das Areal neustrukturieren. Das EU-geförderte Projekt soll die slowakische Gesundheitsinfrastruktur revolutionieren.🆕 Hier ist künftig mit 771 Betten eine hochmoderne und digitalisierte Patientenversorgung möglich. Aber auch der Bau wird bereits modern gedacht. Unsere gesamte Ausführung wird durch LEAN-Construction- und BIM-Methoden optimiert.🤩 Der Campus mit grünem Boulevard steht für ökologische und energieeffiziente Architektur: Wärmerückgewinnungs- und Lüftungssysteme senken den Energieverbrauch, es werden vor allem natürliche Materialen verwendet und Dachflächen für ein besseres Raumklima begrünt.🌱 Und wem das nicht reicht, der kann jetzt noch staunen: Das elfgeschossige Hauptgebäude in x-Form hat eine Bruttofläche von 91.000 m2 und ist damit größer als das Pariser Louvre!😮 . The former American president is the namesake of the Roosevelt Clinic, which we are expanding until 2029. Our job: to remove outdated buildings and restructure the site. The EU-funded project will revolutionise the Slovakian healthcare infrastructure.🆕 With 771 beds, state-of-the-art and digitalised patient care will be possible in future. Construction, also, is being modernised. Kontaktlose Ladetechnik in der Straßendecke 🚗 Stellt euch vor, euer Auto lädt sich beim Fahren auf der Autobahn von ganz allein wieder auf. Das könnte bald Wirklichkeit werden! Wir haben gemeinsam mit dem Hersteller Electreon eine induktive Ladetechnologie erprobt. Der Test ist Teil des vom Land Hessen geförderten Forschungsprojekts „Erprobung des induktiven Ladens in Straßen für die Elektromobilität“, oder kurz: EMili. Auf einer Teststrecke hat das Projektteam dafür insgesamt 23 Spulen in die Straße eingebaut und verkabelt. Der Fokus lag dabei auf dem Umgang mit dem Material und die Einbautiefe der Spulen für einen möglichen Einsatz im Straßenbau. Das Ergebnis: Beim Überfahren mit einem Elektrofahrzeug konnten sie den Akkustand des Wagens erhalten. 🔋 Das System funktioniert ähnlich wie beim Smartphone: Die Spulen erzeugen ein Magnetfeld und geben die Ladeleistung kontaktlos an einen Empfänger im Wagen weiter. Die Technologie ist vor allem eine Chance für den ÖPNV, etwa für Bus- oder Taxispuren. 🚌 . Contactless charging technology in the road surface 🚗 Imagine your car recharging all by itself while driving on the motorway. This could soon become a reality! Together with the manufacturer Electreon, we have trialled an inductive charging technology. The test is part of the research project ‘Emili’ by the county of Hesse. The project team installed and wired a total of 23 coils in the road on a test track. The focus was on the handling of the material and the installation depth of the coils for possible use in road construction. The result: they were able to maintain the battery status of an all-electric car when driving over it with. 🔋 The system works similarly to a smartphone: the coils generate a magnetic field and transmit the charging power without contact to a receiver in the car.
