ℹ Did you know? #Mowing season is in full swing and that means that farmers should be mindful of the animals hiding in grass. Ground-nesting birds , small mammals, and especially #fawns face significant risks of injury or death. In Austria, around 25,000 fawns are killed every year during mowing, while in Germany these numbers reach 100,000 to 200,000. This issue arises due to several factors: Hiding behavior: Many animals rely on grasslands for cover and nesting. They tend to stay hidden and may not be able to escape quickly enough when mowing begins. Breeding season: Mowing often coincides with the breeding season for many species, increasing the risk of killing young animals or destroying nests. Lack of awareness: Farmers and landowners may not always be aware of the presence of wildlife or the best practices to minimize harm during mowing. Often farmers are unable to see them or react quickly enough to stop the machine. That is why we at Optronia work hard to mitigate the harmful effects of mowers. Our #sensors for animal detection are designed to recognize an animal in the grass and stop the machine while lifting the blades. We continuously test our sensors in the field to assess their performance and identify areas for improvement.

🚀🙌 Another successful delivery - this time, several hundred sensors left our warehouse for one of our customers. Every day we are learning and refining our products to ensure a seamless integration and enhance the effectiveness of our sensor technology. 🔎🦌 Animal sensor was the first project, which we have been perfecting with a team of exceptionally talented and dedicated engineers and developers. At the core of our purpose is wildlife that is constantly being harmed during mowing, weed-whipping, and brush cutting. Our mission has been to mitigate harm to animals 🤲 Animal sensors are seamlessly integrated on machinery, and are designed to detect and protect fawn, birds, and nests hiding in grass. #animalprotection #smartfarming #sensors #wildlifeprotection

🌱Thrilled to share that our first plant sensor system has just aced its first testing during unpredictable weather conditions and at different speeds. We received valuable feedback from our customers overseas 🌐, which is a success for our team and an incentive to work even harder now. #plantprotection #spraying #detection #agriculturemachinery #agriculturetechnology #agtech

Breaking boundaries! 🚀 We are excited to share that our team has successfully sent our first system to our customers 16,000 km away!🌏 This marks a significant milestone and a first step as we improve and continue to reach new heights! Grateful for the hard work and dedication of our team 👏 #plantprotection #agriculturaltechnology
