Since the end of June, 3 new insect houses have been decorating the FCC thermal waste treatment plant in Zistersdorf, Austria. The houses arrived from FCC Polska and were manufactured by our external partner Mr. Ryszard. Our project to foster biodiversity is thus developing further. #sustainability #biodiversity

FCC Environment CEE offers a broad spectrum of services to municipalities, industrial, commercial and retail, as well as to individuals in the field of urban and environmental services. Our goal is to secure sustainable quality of life for the present and future generations by minimizing environmental impact thanks to investment in clean technologies. FCC Environment CEE collects and treats waste from more than 4,3M residents and from more than 51.500 industrial and commercial customers in 7 countries in CEE (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia). We see waste as a resource. From the moment collected by trucks, waste is brought into an integrated waste mngmnt system where available technologies for recycling and recovery are embedded. Waste to energy is part of a comprehensive concept including treatment of biodegradable materials and processing of sorted out valuable materials to save natural resources. We improve the living conditions in cities keeping the streets cleaner and cities greener without an ecological burden or danger for the future.

FCC Slovakia: A Heart for Community Service 🌟 "At the beginning of June, our colleagues from FCC Slovakia joined the largest volunteer initiative in Slovakia, 'Naše Mesto (Our Town).' It's a day when thousands of company volunteers come together to engage in beneficial activities all over Slovakia. 🤝 Our teams from Žilina, Zohor, and Bratislava lent a hand in projects within their towns and villages, helping non-profit organizations in their region. Our colleagues did everything from cleaning sports grounds to sanding and varnishing benches, maintaining raised beds with ornamental plants, and improving sports complexes. 💪 💚 The involvement of our colleagues has shown that they truly have their hearts in the right place. FCC Austria Abfall Service AG has been relying on the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) to transport waste sustainably for 20 years. Thanks to this #cooperation, FCC saves 400 tonnes of #CO2 per year. ♻️✨ A prime example is the #transfer of #waste from Roppen in the Ötztal valley in Tyrol to Zistersdorf in Lower Austria, where Zistersdorf Abfall Service GmbH operates a thermal waste recovery plant. Once again, we helped to free the mountain 🏔 from waste! Waste is our business, and…..we are proud 💪 of it. That's why we support everyone who wants to get rid of waste and make our place cleaner to live 🌿 . Like our long-standing partners at the Semmering Ski ⛷ resort. Therefore, we were delighted to be partners again this year in the traditional Mountain Clean Up, which took place on 17 May.
