After 18 years of dedicated service, Jürgen Wahl, decided to step down from his CEO position on June 30, 2024.   Under Jürgen Wahl's visionary leadership since 2006, alongside Rudolf Schneider, EXAA transitioned from losses to profitability. Despite regulatory challenges and market complexities, Wahl's strategic guidance steered EXAA towards success, especially amidst the EU-driven Market Coupling initiative.   We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jürgen for his outstanding contributions and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.   🌟 Introducing our new CEO, Andrea Benckendorff! 🌟   With a rich legal background in energy market liberalization, Benckendorff brings invaluable expertise to her new role. 📢 On the robustness of DA #MarketCoupling processes! The incident in yesterday's Day-Ahead Market Coupling auction showed that coupled markets, allocated cross-border capacities and reliable procedures lead to reliable market prices. 💡 Below you can see the Day-Ahead base prices for Germany and Austria as they were calculated by the Euphemia algorithm in the DA Market Coupling auction for the delivery day 26 June 2024. 🌍 These prices were used at EXAA for trades in the 12:00 MC auction. #dayahead #energytrading #energyprices #energyexchange #sdac

📈 Monthly Highlights April 2024: With spring starting to bloom in its full colors 🌸 🐝 🌱, EXAA’s volumes are blossoming! Our Average Daily Volumes in our 10:15 Auction are shining in particular, with monthly increases in both the Austrian ( 16%) and German ( 17%) area. In total, these volumes have risen by 17% on average compared to last month. When we compare our 10:15 data to 2023, even higher increases become visible. April 2024 is showing a jump of 27% in Austria of Average Daily Volumes in contrast to April 2023. The same goes for Germany with 13% in that auction.
