✈️ 𝑨 𝒔𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉-𝒇𝒍𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒐-𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓: 𝑱𝒐 𝑭𝒆𝒊𝒌𝒔 🥂   Yesterday, we celebrated the well-earned retirement of our Corporate Director Product Management Air Cargo, Jo Feiks. With a career spanning over four decades, Jo’s journey in air cargo and with our company has been remarkable.   Jo began his career in air cargo operations in the 1980s, gaining a thorough understanding of the business from the ground up. His dedication and expertise led him to hold various management positions, culminating in his promotion to Director Corporate Product Management Air. Jo’s contributions have been instrumental in overseeing our global air freight operations, strategic product and carrier development.   It was a special treat to gather at our headquarters with Jo’s colleagues, friends, and business partners who have been part of his journey for years or even decades. The farewell party was an opportunity for all of us to reminisce about the memories and accomplishments we shared with Jo.   In Jo’s own words: “After 44 years in this vibrant industry, it is now time to move on to the next chapter. Of course, I will be leaving with some tears in my eyes and looking back on some fascinating, funny, and sometimes challenging times. I fully believe in the cargo-partner values, especially the personal touch and positive attitude towards our valued business partners and colleagues. I am very pleased that our company is now a member of the Nippon Express Group, and I am confident that this was the right step for our future.”   Jo, your legacy at cargo-partner will always be cherished. We are very proud of this ranking, as it confirms the excellent performance of our teams around the world. In 2023, our global airfreight volumes increased by 11.4% to over 243,000 tons. Once again, we've set a new record for our company. By consolidating its spare parts logistics at a central location, the manufacturer now benefits from streamlined order processing, later cut-off times for customers as well as emergency orders on public holidays.   Key requirements included UV- and dust-protected storage for small parts as well as storage of pallets, long and heavy goods, maintaining constant humidity levels. Additionally, weather-protected loading and unloading via side and rear entrances were essential features provided by the iLogistics Center Fischamend. During a three-month period, cargo-partner seamlessly transitioned 27,000 stock keeping units from multiple production facilities to their logistics center without a single error. 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒑 – 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏!   Our cargo-partner team in Varna, Bulgaria organized a cleanup of the city’s gardens – popular destinations for both visitors and locals – which not only helps decrease the levels of pollution, it also improves the quality of the overall experience.   Additionally, our colleagues also cleaned a children’s playground nearby, and they even had the chance to answer some questions about the idea behind it. It was inspiring to see their curiosity sparkled up by our work!   This cleanup is more than just tidying up – it’s about fostering community pride and a shared responsibility for our environment.
