🌱🍦 AGRANA in Chicago: IFT FIRST Expo 2024 AGRANA presented vegan and organic street food classics at the US trade fair for food technology, the IFT FIRST Expo in Chicago, this week and invited its visitors on a culinary journey around the world. A food truck with vegan organic dishes and extraordinary ice cream creations created a food festival flair in the centre of the exhibition hall. From 'Vietnamese Coffee' to 'Summer in Paris' - there were no limits to the culinary fantasies. The market for ice cream is currently booming and AGRANA wants to gain an even greater presence in this sector in the USA with its Fruit Division. The market for vegan food is also growing - it is expected to reach EUR 56.5 billion by 2026. With its broad portfolio of organic starches, AGRANA is ideally equipped for this trend and is already present in the USA with its organic starch distribution company 'Marroquin Organic International Inc'. Doing great things together as #teamAGRANA! 🎉 Last week, we at AGRANA were able to make a difference for young families in need. Together, numerous colleagues from the Vienna headquarters helped to relabel children's milk cans produced by AGRANA and donate them to Caritas Österreich. A total of 900 cans went to the Caritas initiative LeO, with around 20 employees giving a helping hand. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to roll up their sleeves with us. Gemeinsam halfen zahlreiche Kolleg:innen aus dem Wiener Headquarter mit, von AGRANA produzierte Kindermilchdosen neu zu etikettieren und somit als Spende der @Caritas Österreich zur Verfügung zu stellen. Rund 20 Mitarbeitende haben tatkräftig mitgeholfen und somit konnten insgesamt 900 Dosen an die Caritas-Initiative LeO gespendet werden. Vielen Dank an alle, die sich die Zeit genommen und ihre Ärmel hochgekrempelt haben. AGRANA On Tour! - Starch field days 2024 🌽 From 21 June to 27 June, AGRANA’s raw materials departments in Gmünd and Pischelsdorf once again enjoyed great public interest at the Starch Field Days. Established and new starch potato and ethanol grain varieties were presented on six show fields in the Waldviertel and Weinviertel regions. In cooperation with the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture, the events were recognised as continuing education for the Certificate of Competence. The programme also provided information on crop production and crop protection, including a broader outlook on upcoming campaigns. Until the harvest, all fields will be open to the public. On Saturday, 15 June, the 8th Prambachkirchner 12-hour charity run took place, and many participants achieved incredible things. 💪 Nine of our AGRANA employees from the Aschach a. D. plant ran an impressive total of 130 km, and Michael Schrenk beat us all with an impressive 84 km. In total, we ran about 214 km. Each of these kilometres counts twice as much, because for every kilometre run, AGRANA donates a sum to the Upper Austrian Children's Cancer Aid. Together we help to support this valuable work and give hope to children in difficult situations. A big thank you to all the runners for their outstanding commitment and team spirit.
