Poe's Quarters
Yavin 4
Early Morning
"Huh..huh…" Poe groaned as his eyes opened and simultaneously felt the stiffness between his legs. "Ow…"
"Ow…hey Poe," the sensual voice of Tallissan Lintra replied, planting a light peck on his cheek. "Thanks for the promotion."
"Promo…what?!" Poe exclaimed, still feeling the stiffness.
"'Yes, I'll make you Lieutenant Commander,' remember?" She purred again. He did that was when they were having…"
Tallie only got up, quickly exchanged her skimpy nightie quickly for a jumpsuit so much that he only had less than a minute to catch her naked body. Tallie slowly opened the hatch to check if the corridor was clear, turned and smiled again before she left.
Some Hyperspace Lane
En route to Dandoran
Both Jessika and Rey fell asleep quicky as their shuttle entered hyperspace. The former was in a deep sleep while the latter kept her eyes half opened. A few seconds later, she felt a sharp deep chill and saw the familiar yet sinister masked figure. She was about to respond, however, Kylo Ren ripped off his mask.
"Rey, come with me..." he announced.
"You go first into hell, you kriffing idiot!" She fired back.
"Such a simple retort," he snapped. "You lost your leg to the power of the dark side!"
"You lost your own mind when you moved from the light to the dark side! And you killed your own father!"
"He was a smuggler and a useless man. Join me sis, we can kill off Snoke and that so-called General Hux and rule the galaxy together!"
"Get you brain sorted out first!" Rey wanted to end this this pointless argument. yet just could not. The fallen Jedi suddenly advanced closer and his crossguard lightsaber extended, her new one immediately activated, sizzling as she caught his attack. They both used Form V, with multiple clashes, both suddenly yelling at each other and...
"Nightmare?" Rey opened her eyes wide to see Jessika next to her in the only robe she brought along.
"Uh...I think it was telepathy a Force vision, I don't know..."
"Great, that's confusing, anyway tell me." Rey recounted and as she mentioned the remark about her being his sibling, she raised her eyes wide. "I remembered you muttering that when I helped you out from the Finalizer." She didn't want to term 'rescue.'
"Is he really your brother, that monster?"
"I can't think so. He's definitely former General Han Solo's and Princess Leia's son. Sorry, did I wake you up?"
"Nah, actually couldn't sleep, you want a hot drink?"
Rey nodded and Jess made Hot Chocolate, partly from her own stash and from some Dex gave them.
"Nice? You're the Jedi Knight, so maybe you should think back deeply." Rey understood closed her eyes, remembering the lessons Master Luke taught her thereby letting the Force flow throughout her. She tried to recall the almost realistic conversation and duel, yet couldn't recall it. She attempted to contact Master Luke yet received no reply. She tried to contact Masters Yoda and Kenobi but still could not see their Force ghosts in her mind. Brother...sister she thought deeply how she could be related to such an evil person. After nearly half an hour, she opened her eyes and informed Jess of the unsuccessful attempts.
"Never mind, finish your drink; it's getting cold. Hey, what with that look?"
"You're wondering about someone one, Poe."
Yavin 4 base
The same time
The breakaway Resistance group broke up after the morning briefing. Immediately, Karé Kun rushed up to Tallie and raised her eyebrows.
"Hey, who made you Lieutenant Commander?" She pointed at Tallie's new rank slides.
"Poe, who else?" Came the curt reply.
"But no one told me…us, we've seen the same level of combat and experience…us, we've seen the same level of combat and experience and he made you Lieutenant Commander?!"
Tallie simply shrugged and Karé found the Commander talking to Captain Wedge Antilles. Waiting Poe finally turned and she pepped him with the same query.
"She deserved it. Don't worry you'll get yours soon."
"But..."
"I believe you're on this morning flight schedule," Poe changed the subject. Grumbling internally, she headed to change into her flight suit while privately reminding herself to discuss the issue with the other pilots.
In the shuttle to Dandoran
"Jedi, I forgot just what I recommended. Yeah, I miss Poe, Commander Dameron."
"You're...in love with him? I thought you with that Wexley pilot."
"I was until he went on a mission and disappeared. Poe seemed more like my kind. Strong, the leader I prefer personally and professionally, and well just the guy I want. I remember you like Finn?"
"Well…"
The flight console beep and Jess announced they were nearing her home planet. "Ready?"
"Always," though Rey had a negative feeling momentarily at the back of her mind. She expected adversaries to ambush them, instead she exclaimed, "gosh, it's all water! Even more than Ahch-To!"
"Welcome to my watery homeland," Jess replied. "Scope shows no other craft. And no contact with the usual controllers," she grimaced. "I'll still try to land in my old hometown." As they flew further, in the carnage and devastation the First Order caused made Jess shed tears for the first time in several years while Rey bowed her head in silence. The spaceport ahead was damaged so Jess landed in a field nearby. "Shouldn't be too far, come on." Rey, clipped on her new lightsaber and hurried after, encountered an equally destroyed residence near a beach front, glass strewn all over the ground and some visible in the ocean floor. The main structure, made of Plastoid and waterproof materials was also shattered into thousands of pieces.
The girls gingerly stepped over and Jess started crying again upon the sight of the charred remains of her parents. Unable to move with emotions flooding her mind, Rey found some roughly clean blankets to cover them.
"Jess, maybe you should…"
"I'm…fine," she answered and the duo decided to bury the bodies. Once done, they re-entered and Jess found that while the First Order forces had ransacked her family rooms, many items were still intact. Entering her bedroom, she picked up miniature holograms of her and her family, showing her younger life to Rey. "Wow, you look so...beautiful," Rey gasped at the childhood and teenaged holograms of Jess.
"What's the story behind this?" Rey pointed to a still picture showing Jess with a victorious look.
"That was after my family defeated pirates who captured us and tried to sell us as slaves," Jess gave a quick rundown of that crisis. As she collected holograms, she spotted clothing yanked out from a drawer.
"I miss wearing this. Great it's not damaged." Rey questioned what that stringy item was.
"A bikini. You've never worn one?!"
"Well, I've lived most of my life on a desert plant and mainly soaked in the waters of Ahch-To."
"Darn, I got you a dress, once this is conflict is over, I've got to get you a bikini and..."
Rey's lightsaber suddenly activated and sliced through a First Order probe droid that floated in. Jess yelped, then drew out her own blaster and shot down half a dozen drones that also flew in. "First freakin' Order! This Way!" She yelled, and Rey dashed after her with the Force aiding her run. Jess took her to a closet in her room, locking it as they entered. She lifted a a hidden panel and the pair were in a tunnel. A light shone in Jess' hand and muttered 'crawl.' Ten minutes later, Jess stopped then whispered to the young Jedi Knight that she and her friends built this so she could sneak out without her parents knowing.
"The First Order is her en masse and Kylo is here," Rey informed her, shivering for the first time.
"Well, you're the lightsaber-equipped Jedi now. Any ideas?"
Rey just indicated for Jess to slightly open and indeed there were indeed regiments of stormtroopers, other personal and loads of weaponry, some which appeared unfamiliar two the pair. Jess opened the hatch and pretended to surrender. A few seconds later, there was a swirl and the first few hundred stormtroopers collapsed down. Rey's lightsaber blocked another volley of laser bolts and stun bolts with Jess adding fire from her blaster. Despite this, they could only advance slowly and luck ran out for Jess as her blaster turned faulty. Lining herself, behind the arc of her friend's lightsaber, she picked a blaster from a fallen stormtrooper. She pulled the trigger but again, no blaster bolts came out. She tried again, then noticed green substance on the top of the barrel and the same substance oozing out from the arm of the dead trooper.
"Excellent work," boomed the voice of the masked dark Jedi, Kylo Ren, flanked by another battalion or more of black-coloured stormtroopers, rifles all raised at the girls. "You have no chance of escaping," he continued as the pair spied more stormtroopers closing on them behind. Suddenly, Jess felt a tornado-like spin and she found herself grabbed by Rey, flying in the air. There were TIE fighters of different kinds buzzing above them, but Rey dodge them yet both cried seeing their shuttle burning on the field.
"How about that one?" Jess pointed at a smaller shuttle that lay several metres ahead. Rey sped down and they sped down surprised to find the crat cleaner than their now-destroyed shuttle. As they raced into the cockpit, the shuttle suddenly activated itself and flew out.
"Hey!" Both girls tugged unsuccessfully tugged at the joystick and pressed all buttons and flicked on levers, but nothing changed – it was set on autopilot. Hordes of TIE fighters and several Star Destroyers appeared on screen and they thought they were doomed until they were thrown back against the consoles and found themselves in hyperspace.
"What…we're going to the...Endor System?!" Jess gasped.
To be Continued.
