Chapter Text
Stephanie had just logged in to Minecraft when slyer screen developed a purple glow akin to a certain portal. She only had time to cry out in surprise before the world around her distorted.
She awoke in the middle of a forest surrounded by birch trees. The grass in front of her was tall in random places, yellow flowers scattered about. Nearby a chest stood, 4 torches blazing around it. Assuming this was all a dream, she shucked off her backpack and threw in most of the contents of the chest, leaving only the leather chest plate and boots which she then pulled on.
Deciding to have fun, she trekked into the woods with her axe.
~~~~~
A week later Stephanie ventured out of her log cabin and started a mine about 50 blocks from her home. She’d been stuck here so far and needed to get more supplies like iron.
~~~~~
Stephanie swung her sword with precision, making every hit count as it rattled through her sword and arm against the bones of the skeleton. As it crumpled into a pile of bones and dust, she picked up anything salvageable and hurried on towards the village.
~~~~
Four years after being sucked in to the game, Stephanie was happy. She’s made a life with a village farmer, was in charge of the village defenses, and had made a small fortune enchanting things for the village. She had even set up an iron golem. She occasionally missed things like her computer or her friends, but living in the world of a game like Minecraft has really shown her the things that truly mattered.
~~~~
She had ridden out of the village on horseback to make a trip down into the mines when a portal opened up in front of her. She climbed off her horse and sent it back towards the village, knowing what this was. Stepping into the portal, she said goodbye to her life in this world.
