Graham was pacing back and forth for the 8th time. The other brothers were sitting alongside their parents. No one had heard anything just yet. Leo was up against August as they waited for anymore info to be brought out about Em and Neal. Davi’s leg shook nervously. Snow placed a hand on it. It wasn’t long before the Mills group rushed in. Henry raced over jumping in Grahams arms. following behind him was, of course, Regina and the rest of her family, her pregnant belly coming into view. Snow and David looked over at them as well.
“Oh wow, you guys have nerve”
August said first, before Graham just scoffed.
“ Despite what you, all think we are concerned
August just scoffed again and David went to speak. Henry the littlest Mills for now walked forward and stepped forward to look up at his face. David sighed and ruffled the little boy’s head before going back over towards his wife and oldest. So, Graham said nothing and stayed looking very hurt. it wasn’t long before the waiting area was filled with people that Emma made friends with. Zelena slid her hand into her youngest sister’s hand and felt her squeeze and just like that, two surgeons came walking out to the sitting area.
“ We are looking, for the Nolan/Swan Family?”
Both David and Snow, walked up fast.
“ That’s us Doc’s, please tell us”
Both doctors looked and sighed.
“ First off I’m Dr. neegan and this is Dr. Quartz.
We want to give, our condolences to you all for having
to wait so long...but both Neal and Emma are out of Surgery
Neal suffered a few cracked ribs, and a partially collapsed lung
and a concussion, but he’s doing great just under heavy sedation”
The families all sighed.
“ And our Daughter Doc’s?”
Dr Quartz sighed and pulled out her tablet.
“ For Emma we, saw a lot more damage than Neal.
as She took the brunt force of the truck..She has a
Concussion, four fractured ribs, dislocated shoulder..
and from our scans, it’s also showing that Emma’s Spine took a lot as well
but we won’t know anything until she wakes up”
Graham was upset, and went to punch something.
“ So Doc what, you are saying is Emma may not
Walk ever again, or it could be temporary?...and the
Only way we’ll know for sure is if she wakes up?”
Both doctors nodded.
“ Can we see them?”
Dr. Neegan nodded and said that they are being moved.
“ a nurse will be, down to bring you to a new floor.
So you’ll be able, to visit two at a time for now at least
Until either Neal or Emma wake up give us an hour”
And just like that, the families were moved to another floor. Graham and August were asked if they wanted to go first and said their parents should be first. Snow and David walked into the room and saw both their children hooked to machines. David went to Neal and Snow went over to her baby girl Em. just a few cuts and bruises is what their father said before they switched, so Snow went to Neal. David caressed the blonde tresses that were connected to his daughter’s head and bent down to kiss her forehead.
“ I wanna see, her please mom”
Henry asked, his pregnant mother.
“ You will my, love be patient. It won’t be long”
Graham and August were next. They were hesitant at first. August took in a long breath before he followed behind his older brother into the room with them. August rushed over to Neal and took in how peaceful he looked without him talking. There was nothing for Graham to do so he looked at Em. There was a noise before he could tell August to shut up he noticed that it was not him being loud. Neal groaned and moved around before opening his eyes and put one of hands in front of his face to shield his eyes from the Hospital lights.
“ I’ll get the Doc’s”
The breathing tube would need to come out.
“ Okay Mr. Neal, we are going to need you to.
take a deep breath, hold it while we remove this
and then take a deep breath through your nose”
Neal did as, asked and then began to cough.
“ Good...Good everything looks good so far.
we are gonna, leave and let a few family members come
in and see you but you gotta take it easy okay?”
Neal nodded.
David and Snow were the first to come in and go to Neal. a slight groan was heard which indicated that he was sitting up. Snow was rushed over to hug him. Neal had tears in his eyes before he looked for Emma. Both Snow and David looked at him. August along with Graham went to see about their Em. August slowly made his way to his little sister and stood above her, watching her breath in and out. Graham got a text saying that their mother and father were heading to them right now and both brothers kissed her forehead.
“ See ya soon, Mom and dad are coming”
August nodded, and met them at the door.
Snow went in first as she slowly creeped over to Emma. David wasn’t too far behind but watched as his wife made her way to their daughter, who was not awake. Emma looked as if she was sleeping the Dr’s told them it was her choice to wake up. Neal learned that Em wasn’t awake still, and he cried. Out in the waiting area Regina and the Other Mill’s members had made it there, Henry was afraid as well. Regina’s hand instinctually went to her stomach, Zelena scooted closer to her sister and wrapped her arm around her.
“ Mama Emma’s gonna be okay right?”
Regina looked at, Henry and kissed his head.
“ I hope so, my love I hope so”
Regina saw Graham walking. She excused herself.
“ Excuse me Graham”
The Oldest of the, Nolan Children turned around.
“ Not now Regina. Please just let us be.
You’ve told Emma that unless it’s something about
the baby you and her have nothing else to say to each other”
Regina’s was stunned, but recovered very quickly.
“ I do remember what I said to Emma..and I’ll.
Admit i was harsh, but like it or not this baby connects
both our families and I wasn’t checking up on Emma not just
For me but for Henry also and this baby...She is his other parent
no family should be going through what you are going through
Right now & for that I am sorry”
Graham just looked, and then he began to laugh.
“ You're sorry right!!, sorry for treating my little sister.
as if she was trash, sorry for literally breaking this kids heart
When She was trying to keep things Civil so you don’t get upset
Emma may have the reputation She has by fault...but that’s just who
Em is..Neither you or the baby can get upset and Emma would Kill me
If I upset you even more so it’s just best I walk away”
She had nothing to say but her heart felt heavy.
“ That sounded intense”
August, who had heard his brother walked over.
“ Regina listen, sorry for Graham doing that to.
You, while here, is not in his character but....He’s right
but also thanks for being here like you said that little nugget
is family Emma’s stable but the doctors said we won’t know more
Until She’s awake”
August walked away, and smooshed Henry’s hair down.
“ She’s okay Henry”
Regina felt a hand touch her shoulder, and she looked up. Gabe had made it back and with a small smile sat next to both brunette’s Henry switched from his mom. Zelena watched from a distance and the other ladies ended up showing up, too. Time felt as if it was going slow. Henry wanted to see Em. Neal was checked over once again by the nurses who were seeing about him. He wanted to go see Emma. Graham went and asked the nurses and of course they said he needed at least Another day of rest but the stubborn bull of a man wanted to see her now.
“ He can go, but only in his wheelchair and you all.
Will have to, make sure he doesn’t get up to walk until
He’s officially cleared...Don’t make me regret allowing this”
David and Snow just sat and watched their daughter breath. a noise made both parents turn to the doors and see their boys walk in along with a Wheelchaired Neal. August made it to his parents Neal asked him to stop so he could hug Them. August informed his parents about the whole Regina Thing. Incident is the words he couldn’t form and both parents looked at each other. David nodded and got up. Neal leaned into Emma’s space He was angry at his friend for being who She is Never thinking of herself but wanting to protect her family.
“ The Doctors told, me you made that you took.
More of the brunt, of the truck and swerved before we
got hit and...I’m so angry at you Em ya got a kid on the way
and he or She is going to need you to wake up and teach Them

August touched his, Shoulder and sighed.
“ It’s a boy, She’s got a son Coming”
Neal groaned some and leaned into Emma again.
“ get up kid, ya Son’s gonna need you”

Snow and David said it was okay for Henry to see Emma. Zelena could see how nervous her adorable nephew was and decided to join him to go see her. August had asked if Regina wanted to but the brunette for time being it was best not to. Gabriel had to leave and in his place, Sam made it to her. Henry asked David and Snow could he could see Emma and naturally they said of course he could go. They were family technically, the unborn baby was family but over these past few months Henry was just as important to them as the baby was.
“ It’s okay Henry, Emma is just sleeping”
Graham told him.
The Smallest of the Mills family approached the blonde’s bed. Emma looked peaceful except for the tube down her throat and machine’s making all noise. Henry sat down and took out a book that he hadn’t read since his father Daniel had died. Graham stood back and watched how sad Henry was getting. August appeared out of nowhere and touched his brother’s shoulder before going to Henry. The smaller brunette looked up and tried to keep reading August with a smirk, asked if He Could see the book and Choose a story that he hadn’t read since Em was brought home.
“ Whenever Emma got, sick this is the story She’d.
Have one of us read, it always made her feel better...
And I’m sure Emma would love to hear it..it’s been forever
Since any of us heard this story”
Henry got excited, and scooted Closer to Emma.
“ Okay let me, Once Upon a time”
both August, and Graham listened on.
“ Listen big bro, I know going off on Regina like
That felt pretty, good, but She’s too eventually going
to want to come see Em as much as We can’t stand for
Emma to get hurt..That baby is family and if anything were
to happen to Em Ya gotta want the baby to be surrounded by his
Other mom even if he never gets to meet her”
Henry was reading, still went Emma’s heart rate spiked.
“ Uncle August, the machine made a noise”
August and Graham stopped talking and ran over to them both. Graham looked and noticed that there was a slight spike in Emma’s heart rate as he smiled. August went and got his parents as they paged for the Doctor’s Doctor Quartz walked in. Snow and David were behind him. He looked over at her monitor. Doctor Quartz noticed that Emma was starting to breathe on her own he called his nurse. Everything was moving quick and of course the Nolan Family wanted Answers the Dr Explained that it looks like Emma’s tubes could come out as She was breathing on her own which was a good sign.
“ I’m calling Leo”
August stepped out to call their littlest Sibling.
Outside in the waiting area, the Mills family were waiting as well. Regina noticed the commotion and asked August he said that Emma was breathing by herself. Henry got the chance to see Emma, but the pregnant brunette had yet gotten asked. Everyone now was in the waiting area, including all the Nolans. The Dr and nurses were removing the tubing and did not want to upset anyone in The Room. Graham paid Regina no mind and August went over and whispered something into her ear of course her aunt Sylvia was watching along with her Mother.
“ August I don’t, know I don’t want to intrude”
Dr Quartz came out, and asked who wanted to go back in.
The Nolans had discussed it with their sons earlier about this. David said that if Regina wanted she could and see Emma in her room all eyes were on her now. Zelena said not a word and waited to see what the next words would be from Her. Regina at first said nothing but then She nodded and said Yes. August escorted the pregnant brunette into his little sister’s room he smiled and nodded at Her. Regina heard the Door Close behind her which indicated that it was just Her and Emma in the room.
“ Oh Swan, what have you done”
Regina said to, herself and sat in a Chair.
“ being a Hero, Once again and putting yourself.
in this situation, here we are...You had everyone worried
I wasn’t say the least but Henry my sweet boy wasn’t sure if
He would see you again...and Don’t get me started on this one
in my belly You cannot go anywhere I am not raising another Child

She watched Emma’s, Chest go up & down while breathing.
“ Your’e brother lit, into me a few days ago about.

Don’t exist as a parent to this baby because you do..as much
As I wanted to distance myself from you and keep my baby away
from everything that is you I can’t it isn’t fair What also isn’t fair..

Asked everyone when you will wake up”
And then there was a noise like a groan.
“ SWAN “
Emma made another noise which made Regina Call out.
“ Hello someone, she’s making noise in here”
a nurse ran in, and listened for it.
“ Mmmm...”
She smiled and went to get the Dr.
Outside in the waiting area, The Nolans were notified. Snow and David rushed to the nurses station meanwhile Graham had went and gotten Leo to come visit Emma. August had finished talking to Neal when their parents told them to come on. The brothers did not hesitate and did as they asked. Leo ran ahead and grabbed his mother’s hand. The Other’s in the waiting area were confused until Regina Came. it had only been a few days but in that short amount of time Emma had made Progress faster than she was expected to.
“ Dr. Quartz what is, happening right now?”
He smiled and, said to follow him.
“ It looks to, us that Emma is waking up”
Snow hugged David, as did the Brother’s as well.
“ are you sure?,”
They went to, the room and quietly went in.
The nurses were, had moved the I.V around.
“ She’s been trying to open both eyes”
Dr.Quartz nodded, for her parents to come forward.
“ Emma sweetheart, can you hear us? it’s us
it’s mom and dad, we are right here baby...We
Have been waiting for you to show us those big
Beautiful eyes...Come on baby”
There was movement. Slowly there was a eye.
August and Graham, both waited with baited breath.
“ That’s it Em, Open those eyes for us”
With another groan, Both of Emma’s eyes opened up.
Snow rushed over first and hugged her daughter tight. David followed suit, but made sure he did it carefully. They both kissed the top of her head. Leo couldn’t wait and ran over quickly to climb into his sister’s lap She smiled and laughed as well. August and Graham waited their parents Moved Over. Emma, with a dimpled smile felt when her older big brothers hugged her. She then groaned. a nurse came in and said they’d be just checking her over and to not strain her voice too hard as they had taken out the breathing tube.
“ Welcome back, little sis”
Graham hit her, arm She Winced.
“ Easy guys on, your sister okay”
Emma smiled, and just laughed.
“ It’s okay”
Henry was anxious. Emma’s family had raced away again.
“ My love it’s, okay Maybe it is good news?”
Henry just sighed.
“ This is insane, Your carrying her child unfortunately.
They should at, least give you some information...The
Nolans can’t be this rude”
Zelena groaned and looked at Cora.
“ Mother, Please if, there is news Gina will know”
Their aunt Sylvia was also still here.
“ Your sister, is right”
Immediately August, Showed looking around.
“ It’s Emma, She’s awake come on”
Henry raced away, his pregnant mother followed.
“ Alright Em, you have two other guests..here
and we will, be giving you all some space
Henry wouldn’t go home but he was made to a
few times but him and Regina have been coming
Here every other day to see your progress”
Emma just stared, She looked beyond Confused.
“ Emma...Emma, I’m so glad you are okay
Mom said you’d, be I can’t wait until...you are
Out of the hospital and back home”
Henry hugged her, Regina Calmed him down.
“ Easy my love, You have to be gentle okay
good to see you, awake Swan..I was worried I’d
have to raise this baby without him knowing who
you are first”
Emma brows crinkled, and she opened her mouth.
“ I’m sorry this, but Who are you?”
The Color drained, from Regina’s face.
“ Emma, that’s henry, and Regina, mother of your kid
well technically the, baby isn’t here yet...but She’s ya
Baby mama”
“ I’m sorry Regina?, I can’t remember her”
Everyone in the room became silent.
EMMA IS ALIVE AND AWAKE, I APOLOGIZE FOR TAKING LIKE A MILLION YEARS
UPDATE THIS STORY AND THE OTHER’S ( AS I AM WRITING AS FAST AS I CAN ) A LOT HAS HAPPENED I MOVED INTO A NEW PLACE
I HAD A VERY UNEXPECTED DEATH IN MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND IT TOOK IT’S TOLL..BUT I PROMISE I’M WRITING
OH BOY DON’T KILL ME, YES EMMA REMEMBER’S EVERYONE ELSE BUT NOT REGINA OR HENRY
THIS IS DEFINITELY GONNA MAKE HENRY SAD FOR A BIT TESTS WILL BE DONE ON HER OF COURSE TO SEE IF IT’S TEMPORARY AND WILL IT BE A BAD THING
SINCE THIS SORT OF KIND OF CAN BE A DO OVER FOR BOTH EMMA AND REGINA THEY ARE HAVING A KID CAN EMMA GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME? GABE AND SAM AREN’T GOING AWAY JUST YET
BUT THEY WON’T BE, AROUND FOR TOO MUCH LONGER AND AUNT SYLVIA MAY OR NOT BE MOVING IN TO HELP REGINA
FOR THE TIME BEING WILL SHE BE PLAYING CUPID?
