If there was anything in the world he wanted to do, it was this.
"If they're all happy with this... I'm okay."
The young man had said with an almost serene smile that had a hint of sadness hidden within.
He used to think they were all equals, equally dependent on each other. He used to think that even if the whole world hated him, his brothers would all be waiting for him to come home.
But slowly, everything changed.
Or maybe it had been like that all along , he thought bitterly to himself.
They had stopped welcoming him home, stopped greeting him, had stopped interaction with him altogether. That was the reason why he put on those shades, wore those sparkly abominations, and most of all, put up a facade within himself.
Now the damage had been done enough to cause a permanent scar in his heart.
It’s too late now , he reasoned.
He gazed up at the starless night sky.
“I, Karamatsu Matsuno, hereby withdraw my right to live.”
…
“W-wait!”
Karamatsu was grabbed behind by a figure with surprising strength as they dragged him back from the edge of the roof he was about to commit suicide from.
At first he was too shocked to realize he was, in fact, quite literally being dragged away from the doors to heaven(or hell), but once it sunk in him he desperately clawed at the hands constraining him.
Only to glance behind him and find the least likely person he expected to be there.
“I-Ichimatsu!?”
Said brother in question returned his gaze and glared determinedly into his eyes.
“I, Ichimatsu Matsuno, hereby revoke your withdrawal and command you, Karamatsu Matsuno, to-!”
