Work Text:

Tommy's a good sport, she thinks. It's his first official night in the twenty-first century and they're staying at home watching a chick flick. He probably doesn't mind since they're cuddling on her loveseat, but Toshiko still wonders what is going through his mind.

Tommy leans over and kisses her tenderly. Toshiko runs her hands through his hair and deepens the kiss. He sucks at her neck and she leans back and moans. Tosh feels herself being lifted from the loveseat. She giggles as Tommy carries her into her… their bedroom.

Perhaps she should show him chick flicks more often…

---------

Toshiko is crying. But it is the good kind of crying. Jack is on her arm, walking her down a narrow aisle toward Tommy. Everyone is there, Gwen, Owen, Ianto, and all of her remaining family. All of their faces are smiling behind digital cameras and there isn't a dry eye in the entire church. She sees Tommy standing at the end of the aisle, up on the platform. He is wearing his uniform and looks so dashing. She and Jack reach the end of the aisle, and Jack kisses her hand and her life with Tommy can now begin.

---------

They lay together on a beach in Okinawa, their latest stop on their Japanese historical and cultural tour made up by Toshiko's aunt and uncle for their honeymoon. They're wearing the latest swimsuit trends and lying on a blanket under the shade of an umbrella. She's reading a thick book by her favorite author while Tommy is sleeping. He's going to get a nasty burn but he looks so peaceful. Toshiko smiles and brushes a strand of her husband's hair. Just five months ago she was going to lose this man to the Rift. Who knew they'd be here now?

---------

Eighteen hours. It had taken eighteen hours but it was done. Tommy had held her hand the entire time and encouraged her when she was at her weakest. She's going to have to apologize to him later for cursing his name and threatening to cut his balls off. But it was worth it. She's holding her perfect, 6 pound 6 ounces baby girl. They've named her Tomoko, meaning child of wisdom. Tosh can tell that Tomoko has inherited her eyes and nose and she's sure the baby has Tommy's ears. She kisses her first born on the forehead and cries.

---------

Toshiko smiles into the cup of coffee that she cradles in her hands. Owen is grumbling about being knee deep in alien guts for the better half of the morning and finding absolutely nothing, Gwen is antsy because she and Rhys had a fight about room décor, Ianto has hidden himself down in the archives since he had first arrived and Jack can be heard screaming on the telephone with the United Nations for the past half hour about the ethnics of Weevil hunting. But Toshiko doesn't care for once. She is happy.

For once, her life is completely perfect.
