You and Neito had been walking along the sidewalk on your way back to the dorms from a dinner date in Musutafu, holding his umbrella over the both of you. His attention was completely on the city around him, watching the other passersby's and cars drive by. However, his attention changed when he noticed that you were not by his side anymore.
“Hey, where-“ he glanced back, noticing you playing in the rain like a gleeful child. A soft smile touched his lips. “Are you serious..” He muttered, walking towards you.
Neito stopped behind you, his boots getting a little wet from the puddles. He looked at you with a rather soft and fond expression. “What are you doing? You’re going to get your clothes wet in this rain.” He said in a fond tone, a small smirk dancing on his lips.
You look at him before sending a small smile his way. “It's fun! C'mon, join just a lil?”
Neito chuckled, looking down to the wet pavement. “Join you in playing in the rain?” He said, lifting his eyebrows and tilting his head a little, as in a silent question to make sure that he heard it right.
You grab his free hand into your slightly damp ones, “Mhm, just for a little. You can handle some rain, right?”
Neito chuckled again, his smirk widening a little. “I guess I could....” He would consider it childish if anyone else had offered, his reputation would be bruised if had been caught in such behaviors. But for you, he wouldn't resist. He closed his own umbrella, putting it away. “I hope you’re happy. I’m risking getting sick now.” He said teasingly, before he stepped a little closer, standing right in front of you under the rain.
He watched as your boots splashed upon the puddles, making him get a little bit more wet. He let out a small sigh, rolling his eyes. “I can’t believe I’m actually doing this.” He muttered, his clothes and hair getting a little wetter from the rain drops from above, his hand still holding onto your's gently.
Over the period of time, his hair had become completely soaked, damp clumps sticking to his forehead, the blond color darkened. You chuckle softly, looking atop his head. He glanced down to you, his eyes sparkling with warm amusement.
“What? What are you laughing at?” He asked with an arched eyebrow, his gaze following yours.
You reach a hand up, pushing his hair back. “Your hairs all screwed up, babe”
Neitos brows raised, watching as you reached up. His smirk returned once more as he couldn’t help but tease. “Really? Screwed up?” He said in a slightly cheeky tone. The damp, almost clinging hair fell back down over his forehead, a few strands sticking to his skin as soon as you retracted your hand. “Is it really so bad?”
You shake your head, “Looks good on you”
He chuckled quietly, his gaze roaming slowly over your face, taking in the water droplets dripping down your lashes and skin. “I’m definitely going to get a cold now.. all because of you.” He muttered.
You grab the umbrella from his hand, holding it over you to cease the rain. You sling an arm over his neck, leaning in. “Gah, is the prince gonna catch a cold now? Pretty weak immune system you got there babe”
Neito chuckled again, closing his eyes and letting out a small, mock-pained groan, as if complaining. “You’re so mean to me, love..” He said in an almost pouting tone, looking like a grumpy little child. He moved his arms around your waist, his hands resting low on your hips. “All I’m saying is that you better take care of me then.” He started with a smirk.
“Pft, okay my liege”
“Oh shut up.” He rolled his eyes playfully. He leaned closer to you, his eyes locked with yours, the familiar gray-blue shade with an amused sparkle.“I will have you know that I am a very pleasant patient.”
“Uh-huh” You hum, leaning your damp forehead on his.
He lifted one of his hands to touch your jaw gently, his thumb tracing softly over your chin. “You better believe me. I expect you to bring me soup when I get all sick and bedridden because of you.” He said in a playfully accusing tone, a smirk slowly appeared on his face.
You huff before nudging him back enough into the rain, taking the umbrella with you as you jogged off, leaving him to his dampened doom.
Neito’s eyes widened, gasping in surprise.. “Hey! Give that back!” He called after you, beginning into a sprint as his hair stuck to his forehead, water running down his face.
His boots splashed in the puddles, shouting over the pattering rain. “Get back here! You little thief, come back here!”
Safe to say, you both looked like wet dogs once you got back to the dorms.
