Work Text:
Marie felt her toes were cold when she woke up and shivered before noticing Logan’s warm arms around her. She didn’t open her eyes, just hugged Logan back and leaned into his comforting presence.
“It’s been snowing all night,” he murmured into her hair, like a good morning kiss that didn’t expect either of them to start moving just yet.
“You’ve been up all night?” she asked, because she didn’t know what else to say and neither of them were morning people and they just didn’t get to talk much in the mornings and it was okay.
Logan stayed quiet, and that meant he’d had a nightmare. Or two; it had been a weird week. Marie caught one of his hands, brushing over his knuckles in a soothing motion as she searched for the other one. She brought it closer to her mouth to press a kiss on its back.
“Do you know what this means?”
“No training with the kids?” Logan guessed, and Marie just could feel the smirk on his face. He was not a morning person, and definitely not a cold person either. “That, and …” Marie rolled onto her side, wrapping her arms around Logan. “ Snowball fight.”
