Summary
Vi was expecting to have a Hallmark kind of Christmas. As the new, reluctant owner of the Last Drop, she needs to make this year count if she's going to afford college for her kid sister. Thankfully Zaun is an Appalachian mountain town made picture-perfect for wealthy tourists to spend their cash on snow-filled memories.
That is, until Vi's criminal past catches up with her just in time for the holiday rush. Ghosts of Vi's past are here to collect, and her only hope is an off-duty cop with a taste for scotch.

Caitlyn just wants to do her job well. Years of having to prove herself as a skilled detective in her own right have made her exceptionally dedicated to her career and little else. But when her boss forces her to take mandatory medical leave after a drug bust gone wrong, she decides it's time to get some fresh mountain air and sample Zaun's tourist attractions. If a little R&R happens to bring her closer to the next lead on her case, well-- she is supposed to be enjoying herself, after all.
This started out as a cutesy Christmas Hallmark AU in my mind and it's morphed into a distant cousin of Die Hard. Expect lots of cussing, Karaoke, romantic tropes, and cannon-level violence.
