Chapter Text
—Mom!—Exclaimed a nine year old as she got out of the school and ran up to Vi.
—Fel!—Vi exclaimed as she fell backwards because of her daughter's hug.
Fel looked beside them and noticed Ekko and his daughters, she looked at Vi as if asking who were they, and Vi decided to explain.
—Remember uncle Ekko? Who I told you left the city? Well, he's Ekko.—She simply said, and then added.—And those are his daughters.
Fel's eyes shone brightly, and she left her mother to go present herself.
—I'm Felicia Kiramman. And I suppose you'd be my cousins.—She said, the last part mid-doubtfully.
—Yeah, I'm Cleora!—Said excitedly the cerulean haired girl.
—Kyo.—Said the two-braided twin.
—And I'm Helen.—Said the one-braided twin.
—Woah, I got a lot of cousins.—said Fel, smiling.
—Yeah! And we're not even all of us, mom's pregnant and we gave an older sister!—Said Cleora, smiling excitedly.
Fel looked at Ekko.—Is my aunt also here?—She asked.
Ekko looked around and when he was about to speak, Cleora spoke.
—Uhm, no, mom is… seven months pregnant and couldn't make it all the way here.
Fel squinted her eyes, but then let it go. Then Vi spoke, Felicia noticed her mother happier than usual.
—Oh, we should go tell Caitlyn about‐
—Dad, weren't we visiting Zaun?—asked Kyo, tugging at her dad's sleeve.
Vi raised an eyebrow, then smiled.
—You guys wanna see where your dad grew up?—She asked.
Kyo and Helen nodded excitedly.
—Where mom and dad grew up!—Helen exclaimed.
Fel raised an eyebrow, as Vi's eyes widened. Cleora face palmed, they couldn't help it. When she was about to speak, Ekko spoke up.
—Sorry, Vi. Uh, I… didn't tell them where their mother was from.—He said, giving his kids a look, and they nodded. However, Vi didn't notice this.
—Mom isn't from here?—Kyo asked, tilting her head.
Ekko sighed in relief, and nodded.
—Where is she from, then?—Helen asked.
Ekko was now the one who wanted to face palm, but Cleora did it for him.
—Cleo, stop hurting yourself!—Ekko exclaimed.
Vi chuckled.
—Never thought I’d seen you as a father.—She said, when she noticed Ekko staring at her, his eyes were confused.
Ekko smiled, then sighed.
—We better get going to search a place to spend the night.—Said Ekko.—It was good to see you.—He said. But before he and the girls could go, Fel spoke up.
—Why don’t you all come to the Kiramman House? We have plenty of room!—She said.
—Really? We only have like… three rooms back at home!—Kyo said. Vi raised an eyebrow.
—Where are you living?—She asked, her voice filled with worry. Where was her best friend’s family living?
—On a house on the beach.—Helen said.
—The best part is mom and dad's lab!—Cleora said, excited.
Vi started seeming suspicious about this, but not in a bad way, more like in a worried way. Their mother worked in a lab, which could mean inventions, Cleora's cerulean hair, the way Cleora hid their mother and sister's name…
—Well, you wanna come or what?—Asked Felicia.
The girls, except for Cleora, nodded, and Ekko just went with it.
—Well, let's get going.—Fel said.

After a while walking, the little Helen had asked her father to carry her, and so he did, and the other little girl, Kyo, soon followed asking him to take her hand.
Cleora just walked, seemingly worried.
And Ekko thought she may have been informed about Caitlyn.

—Cait! We're home.—Said Vi.
—And we got visits!—Felicia exclaimed.
Caitlyn came down, smiling. Smile soon fading as she saw that cerulean hair, and Ekko with the three little girls. She knew something for sure.
—Hello, Ekko. And…—She looked at the girls, expecting them to introduce themselves.
—I'm Kyo!—Exclaimed one of the girls, she had white hair with two braids.
—I'm Helen.—Said, politely, a girl with one braid, and made a curtsy.
The last girl was the cerulean haired.
—I'm Cleora, Miss Kiramman…—She said. She seemed nervous, but not afraid.
Caitlyn didn't exactly know how to feel. Because one: She knew these were definitely Jinx's daughters, but two: They didn't do anything to her and Vi didn't seem to know.
—Vi, can we talk?—She asked her wife.
Vi looked at her, confusion flooding her eyes.
—Uh, sure, cupcake.—She said, then looked at her daughter.—Try to get some bonding time with your cousins.—She said, smiling.
Felicia nodded as she smiled, and turned back to Cleora.
—So, how is life on the beach?
The voices and phrases became more and more distant as Caitlyn and Vi walked to the kitchen.

—It's about your sister.—Caitlyn said.
—Look, I know they seem similar, but…
—Vi, I know she's alive.—Caitlyn finally said.—I've tried to live with not telling you, but I can't help but wonder why she would send them all here, and I…
Vi's audition became unclear, as she felt her head get heavy.
—Vi? Vi!—Cait ran to catch her as she felt herself about to fall.—I know this is hard to believe but‐
—Why didn’t you tell me…?—Vi asked.
Cait fell silent, and Vi continued speaking.
—It has been almost ten years, and you just now tell me…?—She said.
—Vi, listen…—Cait sighed.—She… if she didn't come to tell you, I thought she may had a reason, but, sending her family here… I thought you could help me figure this out, and…
—Cait, they came to visit Zaun.—Vi simply said.—I'll talk to Ekko, take care of Fel and the girls.—She added.
Caitlyn raised an eyebrow.
—Take care of them? I don't even know their names!—She whispered-exclaimed.
—Cleora is the oldest one here, Helen has one braid and Kyo has two.—Vi said, and walked towards the living room again. Cait soon followed her.

—Can I call you Cleo?—Asked Fel while lying on the sofa upside down.
—Sure, everyone in my family calls me Cleo!—Cleora said.
—Then, you can also call me Fel! My moms do and they were my only family, so…
—Okay, Fel!—Said Cleora, smiling. She was happy to get to know new people.
Fel noticed her happiness, and smiled.
—How's your life at your home?—She asked.
—It's pretty repetitive…—Cleora pouted as she looked at her dad, who chuckled and shrugged.—But, it can be fun. How's your life here?—She asked.
—Pretty much the same.—Fel shrugged, sitting up straight.
—Ekko.—Vi called, as she got there.—We have to talk.—She said, in a serious tone.
Cleora felt a shiver run down her spine, and Ekko gave her a pat on her shoulder.
—Sure, Vi.—He simply said as he stood up.—But, someone's gotta keep an eye on the kids.—He added.
—Don’t worry, Cait's on that.—Vi said, walking towards the kitchen.
Ekko just walked towards her, glancing at his daughters one last time before entering the kitchen.

In the island, things were pretty much like in the old times for Jinx.
She and Isha were playing with bugs they had found.
—This is Stink Maw 2.0—Jinx had declared.
Isha chuckled and wrote her new bug-fighter's name.
“Scuttle Butt 2.0”
—You get it from me, Ish.—Jinx said, and pulled her into a hug.
Isha was smiling, until she felt and heard her mom sobbing.
She knew it was her turn to be there for her. So she hugged her back tightly.
—I still can't believe you're here…—Jinx said, as she pulled back and cupped the girl's face gently.
While keeping her fingers extended and spread out, Isha touches her chin with the thumb of her hand twice. A sign Jinx had memorized, yet made her so happy every time she saw Isha do it.
—I love you, Ish.—Jinx said.
"I love you too, mom." Isha signed.
