Work Text:
Isagi Yoichi is the last omega hybrid of his pack, and had a crucial role to play. His kind had protected the forest from hunters and external dangers for generations, thanks to their supernatural abilities.
As the sole child of a human and a pure-blood mountain wolf, Isagi was born an omega. To preserve his lineage, he had to pair with an alpha sharing his traits.
"We found a wild hybrid at the border without a pack; he's an alpha."
"Yocchan, you must marry him to bear new offspring; it's our only option, or everyone here will perish," his mother urged, tears streaming down her face. Isagi's father had been killed when he was just a child due to his hybrid nature.
If Isagi weren't aware that the offspring of two hybrid wolves would inherit powerful attributes—super strength, agility, speed, resilience, and even immortality—he would have fled and left everyone to fate. However, his small tribe had many orphaned children, and ordinary humans couldn't protect themselves from forest beasts or provide enough food for their families.
As a wolf with abundant black fur and blue eyes, Isagi could hunt and safeguard his pack. "How did you capture him?" he asked, entering the small tent. Winter had arrived, and the icy currents made his nose and cheeks turn completely red.
"We found him unconscious in the snow; if we'd left him, he would have died."
"That makes sense. An alpha would have torn you apart with claws and teeth. Is he injured?"
"No, just months without food or water. He collapsed from starvation; his entire pack was annihilated by outsiders."
The omega felt a pang of sympathy for the alpha resting before him. "Soon he'll regain consciousness; ensure you restrain him, or he'll kill us. He's a white-furred wolf, much larger and stronger than me; I'm no match."
The villagers heeded their leader's warning. The next day, they informed Isagi that the alpha had awakened. Upon entering the tent, Isagi found the wolf bound to a chair, hands and feet. Their blue eyes met, sending a shiver down Isagi's spine.
"He wants to kill me..."
"Don't worry, he won't. That's why we put that muzzle on him, and he's well restrained, sir.”
"Do I have to...?"
"Just ride his cock and make him knot you." His best friend pushed him inside, and everyone left to give them privacy. Later, Isagi would get revenge on Bachira for embarrassing him in front of the others.
The man in front of him had completely blond, long, and disheveled hair. As Isagi approached, the alpha growled, baring his teeth and claws, sharpening his pupils, and preparing to attack.
"I won't harm you," Isagi said.
The omega believed the alpha wouldn't understand him, but he was mistaken.
"If you let me go, I won't massacre any living being in your clan," the alpha replied.
"You can talk!" Isagi exclaimed, taking a chair from the corner and placing it in the center to sit facing the alpha.
"Remove this damned muzzle and these filthy ropes!" the alpha demanded.
"My name is Isagi Yoichi, the last hybrid omega in this area for hundreds of miles," Isagi introduced himself.
The omega stood up and curiously stroked the alpha's hair. "We need to clean you up properly, alpha."
"I'm not interested in you, omega. I just want to leave and..." The alpha's voice trailed off.
"And die?" Isagi leaned in to meet the alpha's gaze. "Your entire pack perished; you're the sole survivor. I'm sure you're aware that there are few hybrids like us in the world."
"I'm not interested in forming a new pack, especially not with you," the alpha said.
"That's a shame, because I didn't ask you," Isagi replied, using his claws to tear the alpha's upper garments and revealing a beautiful tattoo on his neck –two blue roses with vines and thorns adorning his left arm, likely a symbol of his former tribe's leadership.
"Let's make a deal... What's your name?" Isagi asked.
"Michael... Michael Kaiser," the alpha replied.
"Alright, Kaiser, our deal is this: we won't bite or mark each other, but you'll have to give me five pups, and then you can leave. You're lucky; it's full moon, and I'll soon enter heat."
"You just want me to fuck you and fill you with pups?"
"Exactly. Then you can leave and mourn wherever you want."
"How cruel," Kaiser said.
Isagi freed the alpha from his restraints, leaving the muzzle on for safety, and for the first time in his life, he was mating with someone. Neither of them left the place for days until the omega was sure they had conceived the first pup.
Eventually, Kaiser stopped using the muzzle, and over time, he adapted to the place and its people. Although hybrid omegas were fertile, their heat occurred only once or twice a year. Isagi took Kaiser on hunting trips, teaching him everything he knew, and Kaiser slowly opened up, sharing his past.
Unintentionally, they fell deeply in love.
Sometimes, they transformed into wolves and competed in hunting together. When their first pup was born, the alpha knew he could never leave him or his mate ever again.
After almost two years, the alpha and omega decided to unite their lives with a bonding bite. They had more than five pups; many more followed, and these found their own happiness in other packs years later. Isagi and Kaiser remained together for decades until it was time to pass on, which they did as a couple.
Perhaps they hadn't met under the best circumstances, but the omega had given the alpha a reason to live when he thought he had nothing left to fight for. Michael was grateful to Yoichi for that.
Hopefully, they would reunite in another life to start anew.
