Twelve Days Of Harry

Chapter 6: Shoe

Chapter Text

Severus had dropped off a lot of potions he had made to the infirmary. Having done all his marking and not actually giving anyone detentions, he had time to brew what he normally did over the Christmas holiday. If things went well with Harry he planned to spend all his free time with the younger professor in his bed.

He looked at the clock and saw it was now breakfast time. He winced, hoping he didn't miss Harry as he normally called before breakfast. Turning a corner he saw Harry with a cloak wrapped tight around him, he was limping. “Harry?” He called out as he hurried down the stairs.

Harry stopped and looked over his shoulder. “Oh Severus. I was just on my way to you. I'm a little late due to my own clumsiness.”

“What happened?” Severus asked as he allowed Harry to hold on to him.

“I missed a step on the way to your rooms, I didn't want to bother Poppy as not only am I closer to your rooms, I am on my way to yours anyway and hoped you'd give me something.”

“Of course, come on.” Severus guided Harry to his rooms and helped him sit down. “Let me just get a salve.”

Harry looked around Severus’ rooms as he waited, he looked down at his foot and started when Severus appeared in front of him and knelt down.

Severus gently took Harry's right foot in his hand and took the shoe off and frowned. “I see no marking or swelling.”

Harry stood up and removed his cloak, revealing his bare chest to Severus. “Because nothing is wrong with my foot, today is a shoe.”

Severus glared as he stood up. “Because of that you will not use my floo like yesterday to return to your rooms!”

Harry laughed. “I guessed that much. That's why I brought this.” And Harry produced his invisibility cloak from the cloak pocket he walked to Severus' rooms in and threw it over himself. “Keep the cloak. It's yours anyway. I'm actually surprised you didn't recognise it.”

“Out Potter!”

“Gone!” Harry laughed. “See you tomorrow.”

Minerva McGonagall was just about to walk into the Great hall when she saw a pair of feet walking up the entrance stairs. One foot with a black sock on, the other foot complete with shoe. She slowly shook her head, allowing herself a small smile before heading to breakfast.
