Work Text:
You looked over at Takeru.
You both were sitting under a tree, still in your school uniforms. It had been a while since you and Takeru got some time together. You had begun to miss your boyfriend and Takeru felt the same.
So here you were, under a tree in a park.
People walked and played around you guys. Birds and cats were pitched in the trees as dogs barked at them. It was a nice afternoon. It was the beginning of fall so it wasn’t cold but it wasn't hot either.
The leaves and branches of the tree covered you and Takeru perfectly. The wind was blowing behind you guys, the sky was clear of clouds.
Just the sun shining down on everyone.
Takeru was leaning against the trunk of the tree with his legs stretched out. Patamon was in his lap, leaning against Takeru with his claws on Takeru’s chest. They were both smiling at each other as Takeru told Patamon about his day.
Your Digimon was to the other side of you, napping. Takeru looked so happy and peaceful right now. That wind blew his hair slightly. It was a mesmerizing sight as his hair blew in the wind.
It was also like it was dancing to a silent song. The sun shone off his eyes. Takeru’s eyes were like the sky, well, they were the same color as the sky.
They light reflected off Takeru’s eyes like it does over the ocean. They were bright and clear, mesmerizing.
You would stare into Takeru’s eyes forever if you could.
His smile, though, that was the best. Takeru's smile, his real and happy one, was the best. He didn’t show teeth, but his mouth would stretch into a curved line and his eyes scrunched and his small dimples showed
If Takeru smiled you were filled with hope.
Like everything was going to be okay, you just had to smile if he smiled. It was impossible not to smile if Takeru smiled at you. You smiled as Takeru talked to Patamon with a smile on his face.
Then Patamon said something that made Takeru laugh. You smiled even more and leaned against the tree, still looking at Takeru. You thought it was impossible to fall more in love with Takeru but no.
Takeru’s laugh was airy and pure.
It made your heart beat faster and made you look love sick. Takeru stopped laughing and hugged Patamon close to his chest. Takeru placed Patamon down on his lap and looked over at you.
You both stared into each other’s eyes till you reached over to Takeru’s face with your hand. You brought your hand up, “boop”, you said while booping Takeru on the nose. Takeru closed his eyes as his nose scrunched up, his face becoming a bit red.
“Are you blushing?” You teased.
Takeru looked away from you and down at Patamon. You scooted closer to Takeru and grabbed his chin, forcing Takeru to look at you. You looked down at Takeru, his face now a deeper red.
Going from his cheeks to the base of his ears and top of his neck. You smiled and leaned down, kissing Takeru’s nose. “You look cute when you blush”, you said before letting go of Takeru's chin.
Takeru blushed even more and looked back down at Patamon.
With a smile on his face. You smiled too and looked back in front of you. It was quite now, both of the Digimon asleep and nothing being said by either of you. You felt Takeru’s hand slide closer to yours. He touched his pinky finger to yours.
You kept your gaze ahead as you intertwined your fingers with Takeru’s.
Now holding hands with him
It was now getting late. People cleared out of the park as the sun was getting closer to setting. “We should leave”, Takeru said before standing up. Patamon went inside of Takeru’s backpack before Takeru put it on. Takeru walked in front of you and turned to look at you.
He reached his hand out and smiled. You stared at Takeru’s face for a bit before taking his hand. You grabbed your backpack, D/n already inside, and let Takeru pull you up.
You wrapped your arm around Takeru’s shoulder and started walking back with him.
The sun lighting up the blush on his face.
