Harry looked at the piles of parchment that needed to be graded and sighed.
"Sod this!" he swore. He shuffled the parchments in one haphazard pile, shoved it all in a drawer and grabbed his cloak.
He only hesitated for a moment before hurrying down to the dungeons. He tapped on Severus' door.
"Po-" A pause. "Harry? What can I do for you?" Severus asked as he opened the door.
Lunch and a few pints had eased the transition from Snape and Potter to Severus and Harry. Although it seemed to not be as easy for Severus as it had been for Harry.
"I need a break and thought maybe you'd like one, too," Harry said, bouncing on his toes. "Too many awful papers to grade and I'll go spare if I have to do them all in one go."
Severus smirked. "You'll learn to not let that pile up. It can be daunting if there is too much to do."
"I made the mistake of assigning longer papers that were due just before the holiday," Harry admitted. "Figured I would have time to look them over during the break."
"There is an element of sense to that but, as you say, then there is quite the stack of papers to review," Severus said. "What did you have in mind for tonight?"
"I just need to get out," Harry shrugged. "I'd be happy going to Hogsmeade and for a drink at the Three Broomsticks."
"That is acceptable," Severus replied. He leaned back and grabbed his cloak. "I will be glad to join you."
There were only a handful of students staying for the break, so no one was around to stop them as they left the school. Once off the school grounds, Harry stopped for a moment, took a deep breath and let it out. Getting off the school grounds let him breathe easier.
"You will find it useful to plan some breaks for yourself," Severus said. "The House Elves will bring tea and biscuits almost any time of night."
"I have used that," Harry admitted. "I figured I deserved something stronger than tea tonight, since it is the Christmas break."
"Which is an excellent choice," Severus said. "Ready?"
"I am," Harry nodded. He let the way along the path towards Hogsmeade.
