The next day at Primp Magic School began like any other—bright, lively, and filled with the promise of new magical adventures. The sun was shining brightly, casting a golden hue over the school grounds. Amitie, Raffina, Sig, and Klug were all gathered outside, eagerly chatting about their experiences from the previous day.
"How's everyone feeling after yesterday?" Amitie asked with a big smile, her energy as bright as ever.
"I'm still trying to recover from Klug's 'flower explosion'," Raffina teased, winking at him. Klug, who had now fully recovered from his earlier mishap, rolled his eyes but smiled back.
"Hey, I told you I wasn’t aiming for that!" he muttered, adjusting his glasses. "Besides, it's not like I burned anything down."
"That’s a start!" Sig laughed, leaning against a tree. "Maybe next time you'll manage to blow something up... on purpose."
Amitie beamed, but her excitement faltered slightly when she noticed someone approaching. Standing shyly at the edge of the group, her enormous sleeves swaying with the breeze, was Lidelle. The petite demi-goddess of wind and nature, with her shy smile and soft blue eyes, was still as timid as ever.
"Good morning, Lidelle!" Amitie greeted, her voice filled with warmth. "Are you ready for today's class?"
Lidelle’s large, pointy ears perked up at the sound of her name, and she hesitated for a moment before quietly responding, "Um... G-good morning, Amitie..." She stuttered, clearly nervous about being in the spotlight. "I-I’m a little... um... nervous about today’s lessons. B-but I'll try my best..."
Lidelle’s stutter and her wide, innocent eyes made her all the more endearing. While she was clearly still getting used to being around the group, her presence was already starting to feel natural among her friends.
“Don’t worry, we’re all in this together,” Klug said with a reassuring smile. He wasn’t the most vocal about his emotions, but he could see the potential in Lidelle, especially since she had shown her abilities during magical training the day before.
"That's right!" Amitie added. "And I’m sure you’ll be amazing, Lidelle! We’re learning how to manipulate elemental magic today, right? Wind and nature are totally your thing!"
Lidelle’s ears twitched as she nodded, her nervousness melting just a little under Amitie’s encouraging words. "I... I suppose I can try. W-wind magic is, um... a little like... like talking to the air. I... I can feel it, and it responds. But... I'm not sure how I can make it work with everyone watching."
“You'll do fine!” Raffina added with her usual confidence, though her tone softened just enough to show her care. "I mean, you're the wind person, right? That sounds pretty cool!"
"Yeah! You can create storms or calm breezes," Sig chimed in, grinning. "You could even mess with the weather. That’s pretty powerful stuff!"
Lidelle flushed slightly, her blush sticker clearly visible. “I… I don’t think I can make storms, but... I can summon little breezes or, um... make things sway in the wind."
As the group walked toward the training grounds for their next class, Combat Magic, they began to discuss their magical abilities. Suddenly, the air grew heavier, and the students felt a familiar, yet eerie presence. The group turned as they saw two figures walking toward them—Lemres and Feli. Despite being students themselves, Lemres, the upperclassman, had a calm and confident aura, while Feli, his quiet and intense companion, stood beside him, her sharp gaze scanning the group with an air of mystery.
Lemres, with his signature dark green attire and bright white hair, smiled widely as he approached the group, holding out a handful of sweets with a flourish. His amiable, though slightly quirky, demeanor was hard to miss. "Good morning, everyone!" His voice was warm, yet his eyes seemed to hide an underlying depth of knowledge. "I trust you’re all ready for some... fun today?"
"Ah, Lemres!" Amitie said with a cheerful grin, though she couldn’t help but eye the sweets warily. "What brings you here today?"
"Ah, just here to observe the talents of the next generation," Lemres replied nonchalantly, as Feli, his companion, stood silently beside him, her dark aura a stark contrast to his cheerful mood. Feli, the demi-goddess of dark magic, always had a mysterious presence, but today she looked particularly at ease, her sharp eyes observing the students carefully.
"You see," Lemres continued, "I’ve heard some interesting things about this year's students. Particularly about how... well, 'in tune' you are with your elements." His voice was filled with a strange, yet harmless, enthusiasm as he popped a piece of candy into his mouth. "What better way to put that to the test than a little competition?"
Amitie looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Competition? What do you mean?"
Lemres chuckled, tapping his wand against his palm. "Oh, nothing too intense. Just a friendly little sparring session—testing your magical control under pressure, that’s all."
Feli’s gaze flicked toward Lidelle, and the shy demi-goddess flinched slightly under the scrutiny, but Feli gave her a small, approving nod. "We’ll be watching closely. If you all can show us something impressive, then maybe... just maybe, we’ll consider you ready for the next level."
Lidelle, still feeling nervous about performing in front of everyone, hesitated. But then, with a glance at Amitie and Klug, she found a bit of courage. "I-I’ll try my best..."
Just as the students were preparing to take their positions, Klug and Feli exchanged sharp looks, the air around them seeming to crackle with tension. Feli, her arms crossed tightly, looked at Klug with an almost cold expression, while he met her gaze with a cool and defiant stare.
"What's with that look?" Klug muttered, adjusting his glasses. "If you think I’m going to let your dark magic intimidate me, think again."
Feli’s eyes narrowed slightly, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. "I don't need intimidation. Just... clarity."
Before things could escalate further, Lemres stepped forward, his easygoing demeanor as calm as ever. "Alright, alright, you two. No need to start a fire before we even begin." His voice was light, but his tone carried an unmistakable authority. "Let's save the 'debates' for later, shall we?"
Feli let out a small, almost inaudible sigh, her posture relaxing just a little. Klug, though still slightly annoyed, nodded and backed off. "Fine," he muttered, though his eyes still flicked toward Feli with mild irritation.
"That's the spirit!" Lemres said, clapping his hands together. "Now, let's get back to the fun, shall we?"
The students took their positions, and the training began. Professor Schezo, who had been lazily watching from a distance, gave a smirk at Lemres’s arrival. "Here to watch the students fumble around with magic, are you?" he asked dryly, folding his arms.
Lemres turned to Schezo with a friendly smile. "Not fumble, my dear Schezo. It’s all about growth, isn’t it? I’m just here to help them bloom."
As each student took their turn, Lemres watched closely, occasionally offering advice or encouraging a bit of creativity. When it was Lidelle’s turn, she stepped forward with her usual hesitance, her arms hidden by her sleeves as always. She took a deep breath, feeling the cool breeze around her. Her mind focused on the air itself, and before she realized it, a gentle wind began to swirl around her. Leaves rustled in response, and soon, a small gust of wind swept through the area, lifting the edge of a nearby book.
“That’s it,” Lemres murmured under his breath, his eyes gleaming. "A calm breeze, but controlled... Let’s see if you can push it further."
Lidelle’s eyes widened, and despite her nerves, she stretched her arms out further. The wind swirled more forcefully, pushing back against the magical boundaries set by Schezo. The leaves lifted higher, and even a few small branches bent under the force of the gusts. Though it wasn’t a storm, it was enough to showcase her progress—and the group cheered in unison.
"Wow, Lidelle! That was awesome!" Amitie exclaimed, clapping her hands.
"I knew you could do it!" Klug added with a proud smile.
"Impressive," Lemres said with a nod, his expression softening as he watched her. "It seems you’ve found your rhythm with nature."
Lidelle smiled shyly, but her confidence was growing. "T-thank you… I still have a lot to learn, but it feels nice to finally... control it."
As the day came to a close, the students gathered around, feeling a sense of accomplishment. Lemres and Feli took their leave, though not before Lemres handed out a few more sweets, much to the amusement of the students.
Lidelle, now feeling a little more at ease with her magic, glanced around at her friends. "Maybe I can help you all next time with wind magic?" she asked shyly.
"Absolutely!" Raffina agreed, raising her glass of grape soda. "To wind magic, and the wind goddess who wields it!"
“To new adventures!” Amitie added.
And with that, the group clinked their glasses together, feeling even more united as they looked toward the next chapter of their magical school journey, with new challenges and magical growth ahead.
