Work Text:

Elijah's heart pounded in his chest as Micah approached him. He knew Micah meant no harm, but a lifetime of fear had ingrained itself into his being. He flinched, his body tensing up involuntarily. Micah froze, his hand hovering in midair.

“Elijah…” Micah’s voice was soft, filled with concern.

Judah, noticing the tension, stepped forward. “Hey, it’s okay. We won’t hurt you, promise.”
But Elijah couldn’t shake the fear. A panic attack began to overtake him. He started to hyperventilate, his body trembling. Micah and Judah quickly reacted, pulling him into a comforting embrace.

“It’s okay, buddy. We’re here,” Micah soothed, stroking Elijah’s hair.

Judah rubbed his back gently, whispering words of reassurance. Slowly, Elijah’s breathing began to regulate. The panic attack subsided, leaving him feeling drained and vulnerable.

“We’re so sorry, Elijah,” Micah said, his voice filled with remorse. “We didn’t mean to scare you.”

“We’ll never hurt you,” Judah added. “We love you, and we’re here to protect you.”

Over the next few weeks, Micah and Judah worked hard to build trust with Elijah. They showered him with affection, buying him gifts, taking him on outings, and simply spending quality time with him. They were patient, understanding, and unwavering in their love for him.

Slowly but surely, Elijah began to open up. He started to trust Micah and Judah, and he began to feel safe and loved for the first time in his life.

He would often wake up in the middle of the night, scared and alone, but Micah or Judah would be there to comfort him, holding him close until he fell back asleep.
One night, Elijah woke up to find Micah sitting beside his bed. “Can’t sleep?” Micah asked softly.

Elijah shook his head. “I’m scared,” he admitted.

Micah smiled. “It’s okay to be scared sometimes, Elijah. We all are. But remember, we’re here for you, always.”

He pulled Elijah into a warm embrace, and Elijah closed his eyes, feeling a sense of peace he hadn’t experienced in a long time.

As the weeks turned into months, Elijah blossomed. He started to smile more, to laugh more, and to engage with the world around him. He was no longer the scared, withdrawn child he once was. He was becoming a confident, happy young man.

One day, while they were watching a movie together, Elijah turned to Micah and Judah. "Thank you," he said simply.

Micah and Judah smiled at each other. "For what?" Micah asked.

"For everything," Elijah replied. "For being there for me, for loving me, for making me feel safe."

Micah and Judah pulled him into a tight hug. "We love you too, kid," Micah said.
As they sat there, the three of them knew that their bond was unbreakable. They had overcome so much together, and they would continue to face whatever challenges came their way.

As time went on, Elijah continued to thrive. He excelled in school, made new friends, and discovered new passions. He was no longer defined by his past; he was shaping his own future.

One day, Elijah was sitting at the kitchen table, doing his homework. Micah and Judah were talking nearby, their voices filled with laughter. Elijah looked up from his work and smiled. He had never felt so happy, so loved, so complete. He knew that he had found his forever family.

Years later, Elijah would look back on that dark time in his life with a sense of gratitude. He would remember the pain and fear, but he would also remember the love and support of his brothers. They had saved his life, not just physically, but emotionally as well. And for that, he would be eternally grateful.

However, life wasn't always sunshine and rainbows. One evening, a particularly difficult day at school had left Elijah feeling overwhelmed and anxious. He retreated to his room, shutting the door and curling up in a ball.
Micah and Judah, sensing his distress, knocked on his door.

“Elijah, are you okay?" Micah asked gently.
There was no response. They exchanged a worried glance.

"We're coming in," Judah said, and they slowly opened the door.

Elijah was curled up on his bed, tears streaming down his face. He looked up at them, his eyes filled with fear and sadness.

"It's okay, Elijah," Micah said softly. "We're here for you."

They sat with him, offering comfort and understanding. They talked about his day, listened to his worries, and reassured him that everything would be okay.
As the days turned into weeks, Elijah learned to cope with his anxiety. He had his brothers to lean on, and he knew that they would always be there for him, no matter what
