Summary
After their conversation in the park, the Doctor tries to reignite his friendship with Martha. He manages a small success when he convinces her to come over for a minor medical emergency - getting Rose ready for her Winter Formal. While chaperoning at the dance, the Doctor accidentally lets slip how deep his feelings run and Martha at first pulls away, not knowing how a relationship with the Doctor would affect her ever increasingly complicated family dynamics. But when Martha faces a personal crisis on Christmas Eve, she turns to them for help, willing to see how much the Doctor has changed.
