He had warned Yammy that he would kill him. The Espada hadn’t taken it seriously.
There was a time where Ichigo thought he could save his friends without leaving behind corpses despite Urahara’s speech to him.
He wasn’t that young anymore.
And, like a beloved toy, that belief had been set aside as Ichigo had grown older. And, like a beloved toy, Ichigo wanted it back but knew he was too old for such things.
(That was the thing though. Ichigo had been killing long before he realized he had been. Ever since that night he had met Rukia, there had been blood on his hands.)
“Did I pass your stupid test?” Ichigo yelled at the remaining Espada.
There would be a time where Ichigo could think about what he just did. It wasn’t right now. There was an enemy in front of him. There were corpses surrounding him. Orihime, Chad, and Tatsuki were wounded.
