Work Text:
Gigi went to Cecilia's room and saw her playing alone.
Usually Cecilia would invite her to play with her, but it looks like this time she had started without her.
“Hey Ceci, why are you playing alone? Let me join!”
Cecilia didn’t look at Gigi and just mumbled “Go ahead if you want to.”
As they started playing, Gigi noticed that Cecilia was more focused than usual.
“Oh wow, you are really into it today.”
She tried to initiate some small talk, but Cecilia wouldn’t reciprocate at all, ending the conversations as soon as they started.
Even though it was a Co-Op game, it looked like Cecilia wanted to progress throughout the game without Gigi.
“Hey Ceci, wait for me! Why are you being so hasty?”
While playing the game Gigi made her usual remarks at Cecilia trying to get a reaction. But not this time, Cecilia was silent.
Gigi was slightly surprised that her partner didn’t say anything, however she didn’t give up and tried several times more without any success.
At one point Gigi had stopped trying to pry any words out of her and just silently played their game, but still shooting glances over to Cecilia trying to figure out the reason for her silence.
Amidst their game Cecilia suddenly puts the controller down. “So we are just pretending everything is fine?”
Gigi was stunned by that passive aggressive remark. “What do you mean? Why are you so angry?”
“I don’t know. Maybe a certain someone was being a blabbermouth.”
She glares at Gigi, prompting her to put her controller down as well.
“What do you mean I was being a blabbermouth?”
“Oh, don’t pretend like you don’t know. I am talking about all those stupid remarks you make during streaming. It’s fine that we give our viewers some content from time to time, but telling them what we do during our own time?” Cecilia snarked at Gigi, who let out a groan. “This again? C’mon Ceci you know we can’t hide it forever.”
“Well maybe if you were more serious in trying to hide this we wouldn’t even be in this situation. Have you ever heard of the word privacy?” Ceci turned her head with disappointment while trying to hold back her tears.
“Well maybe this doesn’t need to be a situation in the first place. Like, why do we even need to hide it anyway? It’s not like people knowing our relationship is gonna change anything.”
Cecilia looked sincerely at Gigi and said, “But do you really want to share everything we do to the public? I don’t want them to know everything we do. I don’t want to see other people talk about our private stuff on Twitter. And I especially don’t want the times I spent with you to be openly shown. Why don’t you understand that, Gigi?!?”
“I don’t get it, why are you so mad over this?”
Cecilia snapped. “Are you for real right now, Gigi? You really don’t see any problem with that? Wow… I can’t believe you.” Cecilia clenched her fists, trying to hold back her frustration.
“Why do you always get so irritated over all these little things?” Gigi scoffed and mumbled under her breath. “Maybe it would’ve been better if we didn’t date at all.”
Out of nowhere, the dry sound of a harsh slap filled the room.
That comment of Gigi caused a short-circuit in Cecilia. Her anger blinded her before quickly realizing what she had just done.
Surprised at her own reaction, she hesitated to reach out for Gigi, whose eyes were wide open from shock, her hand running over her increasingly red cheek.
“Gigi, wait… I-I didn’t…”
Before Cecilia could finish her sentence, Gigi had already stood up and hurried to her own room. Cecilia made an attempt to chase her, but Gigi slammed the door behind her, promptly locking it.
In desperation Cecilia kept knocking on the door. “Gigi, please open the door… I am sorry. I didn’t mean to…”
Cecilia fell down on her knees, not being able to hold back her tears.
“Talk to me Gigi, please…” Each sob filled Cecilia’s heart with regret.
“Why did I do that… I am so stupid…”
After hours of trying to talk to Gigi, Cecilia eventually gave up and woozily walked back to her own room.
There was still an off Collab with Justice on the next day in the morning and she couldn’t stay up for too long. She didn’t want her personal quarrels causing any trouble at work.

The next morning when Cecilia woke up, Gigi had already left to meet the others. Cecilia gave her all to focus on today’s task but her mind still couldn’t shake off yesterday’s events.
As she arrived at Elizabeth and Raora’s place everybody was already there.
“Ah, Good Morning, Cecilia!” Raora greeted her friend.
“Morning Raora! Morning Liz!”
As Cecilia saw Gigi sitting there and not looking at her at all, she tried to greet her.
“Good morning… Gigi…”
Gigi just sat there and replied with a quiet “Good morning.”
Cecilia could feel her own remorse and Gigi’s cold distance.
Raora and Elizabeth looked at each other and knew something happened between these two, but didn’t dare to ask for now.
As the stream started, both Raora and Elizabeth felt uneasy, observing the usually talkative Gigi and Cecilia silent.
Every attempt made by any of these two trying to elicit some conversations between them were quickly shut down. Thankfully nothing extreme happened during the stream, which they had ended early to deal with whatever Gigi and Cecilia had going on.
“So…… you two mind sharing what’s going on?” Elizabeth asked them, slightly worried.
Gigi let out a small sigh. “It’s nothing… we’re fine.”
She shifted her gaze over to Cecilia, who responded with silence.
Elizabeth looked to Raora who just gave her a shrug, prompting Elizabeth to let out a sigh and put her hands on both Gigi and Cecilia’s shoulders.
“Whatever happened between the two of you, you both should properly talk it out. I can’t bear to see you two like this. We are a team, I don’t want us to have misunderstandings with each other.” Elizabeth tried to be reasonable, while Raora was looking at them in a concerned way.
Gigi met her eyes with Cecilia for the first time since yesterday. She saw the regret, the hurting in her eyes.
“You two probably need some time for yourselves. Me and Raora will go out to get us some lunch.” Elizabeth gave the both of them a light pat on the shoulders before taking Raora’s hand and leading her out of the room.
An awkward silence filled the room. Both of them looking for an opening to talk but wimping out at the last second. Until Gigi eventually gathered the courage to speak.
“So… I…… uh… how’ve you been?”
‘What do you mean by how’ve you been you haven’t even been apart for a single day.’ Thoughts of regret started flooding Gigi’s head, but before she could say anything she heard Cecilia let out a chuckle.
“C’mon Gigi I thought we were already past the point of elevator conversations.”
“Uh… yeah… sorry.”
These words felt slowly and quietly out of Gigi's mouth. An awkward silence befell the room again and Gigi didn’t really know how she should’ve approached this.
The same went for Cecilia. She wanted to apologize since that morning, but she didn’t know how to approach Gigi.
Every waking moment had been her thinking of how she’d apologize, how she’d try to make up for what she had done. It took her all her courage to make a proper apology.
“I’m sorry Gigi, for yesterday. I shouldn’t have let my emotions take over me like that.”
Cecilia wanted to throw up. The shame she felt from her actions felt heavy on her shoulders. She couldn’t bear to meet Gigi’s gaze while her tears started pouring down.
Gigi immediately stood up, “NO! You shouldn’t be apologizing. It was me who was ignoring your feelings after all… if anyone should be sorry it should be me.” Gigi cupped Cecilia’s cheek, her thumb running across wiping away the tears while lightly pulling her head up for their eyes to meet. “I’m so sorry.”
Cecilia paused briefly before she explained why she got so emotional yesterday.
“Gigi, I treasure every second which I can spend with you.” She said as she leaned into Gigi’s hand. “I want this time to be special to us and I don’t want to share these moments with anyone else except you.”
Cecilia saw Gigi’s face flush into a bright pink. But she knew she couldn’t make fun because she felt the heat on her face spreading all the way to her ears as well.
“I-I didn’t know this meant that much to you… I should’ve been more considerate… I’m sorry.”
Cecilia let out a chuckle and slid her arms around Gigi, Gigi tucking herself under Cecilia’s chin.
“Apology accepted.”
As their eyes met, Cecilia tilted her head to kiss Gigi, the soft touch of Gigi’s lips sending sparks down her spine. Her hand combed Gigi’s hair and ran down her back to her waist. She felt Gigi’s hand sliding under her shirt, her other hand cradling Cecilia’s cheek. Gigi’s tail wrapping around Cecilia’s back in a tight grip.
The door suddenly opened and the both of them jumped. The light clank of teeth bashing together echoed and Gigi had her hands over her mouth writhing in pain.
“I thought you had some money with you. I think we should check next time more closely before we go out.” Raora and Elizabeth returned much to their surprise.
Elizabeth noticed Cecilia’s ruffled clothes and the marks on Gigi’s neck before realizing what had just happened.
“Oh, haven’t you guys still not made up?” Raora asked unknowingly.
“It’s okay Raora, I think they already made up.”
After Elizabeth found her purse, she hurriedly grabbed the still confused Raora and led her outside, feeling her face start to flush. “Don’t worry guys, we won’t be back for an hour or so. So uhhh…… See ya!”
