Chapter Text
The gym was buzzing with laughter and banter as members of various teams gathered after the intense training camp.
Kageyama Tobio sat cross-legged on the floor among his Karasuno teammates, as well as players from Fukurodani, Nekoma, and Aoba Johsai. It was already night of the training camp and they had used one of the gym for the sleepover.
The conversation had drifted into teasing territory, especially when it came to potential relationships.
"So, Kageyama," Bokuto grinned, eyes sparkling with mischief, "when are you going to admit that you and Hinata are secretly dating?"
Kageyama nearly choked on his milk, shooting an questioning glare at the excitable ace.
Beside him, Hinata turned bright red, waving his hands frantically.
"W-What?! No way!" Hinata sputtered. "We- we're just friends! Right, Bakageyama?"
Kageyama nodded firmly, his face dead serious. "Yeah, we're just friends."
Kuroo leaned in, smirking. "Really? Because you two sure act like one. You’re always together, always arguing—kind of sus if you ask me."
"We’re not a couple," Kageyama retorted with a huff. "I’m not dating Hinata."
The room went silent for a moment as everyone stared at him, waiting for more.
"Wait, so you're actually admitting you're dating someone else?" Oikawa asked, eyes wide with exaggerated disbelief.
"Kageyama Tobio, the socially clueless volleyball idiot, has a love life?"
Kageyama frowned, and bluntly said as a matter of fact, "Yeah. I already have a boyfriend,"
"WHAAAAAAT?!" came the collective shout, voices overlapping in shock.
"Who’s crazy enough to date you?!" Tanaka howled, clutching his stomach in laughter.
"Yeah, seriously!" Nishinoya added. "You’re obsessed with volleyball. When did you even have time for a relationship?!"
Even Daichi and Sugawara looked stunned, exchanging bewildered glances.
Hinata’s eyes were wide as saucers. "Kageyama has a boyfriend?! How! Who is it?!"
Just then, the gym doors swung open, and Tsukishima Kei walked in, fresh from the showers, with damp hair and a towel slung around his shoulders. He froze when he noticed all eyes turning to him.
Kageyama stood up, walked over to Tsukishima, and without a word, dragged him over to where everyone was gathered.
To everyone's surprise, Kageyama sat down on Tsukishima’s lap, wrapping an arm around his neck.
"He’s my boyfriend," Kageyama announced, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
A new wave of chaos erupted.
"TSUKISHIMA?!" Nishinoya screamed, looking like he might faint. "Of all people?!"
"GLASSES-KUN????!" - Oikawa also shouted
"TSUKKIIIII?" Bokuto shouted, hands on his head.
"No way, this has to be a prank!" Hinata added
"How the hell did *this* happen?!" Kuroo laughed, clearly loving the drama.
While everyone was still in shock, Kageyama leaned in close and took a deep sniff of Tsukishima’s neck. "You smell good, Kei," he said with a rare, genuine smile.
Tsukishima rolled his eyes, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "Okay, what do you want huh, King?"
He leaned closer as Kageyama murmured something with his voice low and Tsukishima said teasing. "A kiss? Seriously, you’re such a baby."
Before Kageyama could respond, the room erupted again.
"Oi! Stop with the PDA!" Oikawa groaned, pretending to gag.
Tanaka made a show of covering his eyes. "Save it for when we’re not around, you lovebirds!"
"Blurghh, too much information!" Hinata whined, hiding behind Yamaguchi who's only laughing as he already know about the two.
"Shut up, all of you," Kageyama snapped at the crowd, before turning back to Tsukishima with a determined look, his eyes clearly waiting for that promised kiss.
Tsukishima let out a dramatic sigh but leaned in anyway, pressing a soft kiss to Kageyama’s lips. The gym exploded into cheers, groans, and exaggerated gagging noises from their friends.
Satisfied, Kageyama pulled away with a rare, genuine smile. He adjusted himself but made no move to leave Tsukishima’s lap, looking more content than anyone had ever seen him.
Sugawara covered his mouth, trying to hold back his laughter. "I never thought I’d see the day… Kageyama smiling like that."
Daichi shook his head with a chuckle. "I guess there’s hope for everyone."
As the room slowly calmed down, Bokuto was still yelling excitedly about how they needed a group selfie to remember this historic moment, while Kuroo kept teasing Tsukishima about dating the volleyball-obsessed setter.
