Chapter Text

After Legoshi went back to his dorm after meeting Viola, he made sure to get plenty of rest that night for today, because the performance of the Drama Club, will be happening soon, they've all been preparing the best they can to make sure it doesn't go wrong, this will be one of the most important moments for the school, Louis has been hard at work like everyone else to make sure it's flawless, and with so much weight on their shoulder's, they're doing everything they can to not screw it up.

While Legoshi has a lot to question regarding Viola and what her relationship  with Rokume's like, he didn't have much time to think over it right now, but hopefully when he sees her again, he'll know a bit more about them both, because they seem very interesting, and Legoshi would like to know more about them since they could be going through similar struggles to him, if Rokume's always watching over the students as a part of her job, he hopes he'll find a moment to talk to her when he can.

But as the next day came, everyone was gathered within one of the theater's for a special announcement, Gon, the Headmaster of the Academy, was giving a speech to the Drama Club.. and mainly Louis, to congratulate them all for pushing through they're kinds differences despite what's happened, as hundreds of new people had come to see this on display, everyone stood tall and heard Gon give them a speech through the whole hall.

"All of you on this stage have overcome the differences, and the challenges that come with our species. And therefor, have earned a prestigious prize. Your contributions have helped Cherryton to thrive and prosper. Which is why we have gathered here today, so I can present, the Cherryton honor award for you all." Gon announced while he handed Louis the prize while the audience cheered for them for they're hard work.

"I expect another great year from you all, congratulations." Gon said proudly while Louis nodded respectfully after hearing all of this.

"Of course sir. You can count on it." Louis assured as he stood in front of the audience and went to give his own speech for inspiration.

"Coexistence and coprosperity, our Drama Club. And it will continue to demonstrate it's glory on this stage." Louis announced as the people clapped for him while he looked over the entire room to see how many people there are here. Even Legoshi was here to watch this all happen, despite him being nervous about showing himself in front of the public due to his appearance, people didn't seem to be bothered by it, and after hearing this speech, Legoshi was very fascinated with how Louis can handle it.

"The audience is moved, it's amazing. He never fails to impress everyone.." Legoshi thought to himself as Louis continued his speech.

But later on after that speech, everyone went back to work within the club to make some final preparations, while Legoshi's often switching between teams to help out the best he could, which the club was really appreciating, he knew there was a lot of pressure for everyone due to how close it is, but they're making sure to give it they're all to make it the best one yet. But one of them wasn't particularly happy with Louis's speech, and mainly.. that was Kai. As he and Legoshi were working on the light's and set's together, Legoshi could see Kai was still upset over all of this, and this speech didn't help him feel better after what's recently happened.

"Coexistence, what a sick joke, it's nothing more then a stupid lie if you ask me." Kai said with spite while he and Legoshi watched over the other's doing they're work who thankfully didn't hear what he just said.

"Keep it down would ya? You shouldn't say something like that, not unless you wanna get in trouble." Legoshi warned which Kai didn't listen too.

"He kicked me off the Actor's Team! At least you now have a place in it, if your gonna be performing soon, just make sure not to make the same mistakes I did." Kai replied with annoyance as they stood up, and looked over the other people practicing for the performance.

"I'll do my best when I get cast in a role, even if it's minor, at least being able to perform could help me with how people see me, do you know how hard it is to deal with all these fake rumors that I have venom?" Legoshi asked which Kai scoffed at.

"For now you may not, but if your taking more on what your grandfather was then your own mother's, you may just gain venom when you least expect it." Kai replied which Legoshi really hoped wouldn't happen. And as Kai looked over the room, he sighed calmly and felt the anger leave him for now.

"But I can understand the frustrations, I'm not as mad as about being off the Actor's team as I was before. It's still frustrating though." Kai replied while Legoshi felt a small smile hearing that.

"I'm glad to hear it." Legoshi replied while Kai looked at him with a curious look.

"I was wondering Legoshi, what role would you ever do if you were chosen for a performance?" Kai asked with a curious look which Legoshi couldn't answer.

"I don't know, I mainly just help with the lighting here, I never really.. payed attention to which show's we would normally do." Legoshi answered which Kai chuckled at.

"Come on, there may be a role out there for you that you might like, you are into tragic story's right?" Kai reminded while Legoshi shrugged his shoulder's.

"I am into those story's yes, but I don't think people would want to see me as the star, they want to see Louis, he's the star after all." Legoshi replied which Kai looked annoyed at.

"Louis won't be in this club forever Legoshi, he may leave at some point, and someone will have to take his place, if you want people to stop looking at you like your.. a freak, you need to take bigger risks to do so." Kai advised while Legoshi moved a nearby light for adjustments.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it Kai, I do want people to stop judging me by how I look, but I want to start off by taking it one step at a time first, going right to the top so suddenly can be very stressful for those who can't handle it." Legoshi replied while Kai rolled his eyes.

"Maybe so. But you shouldn't just stay low forever, the advisor scouted you for a reason you know?" Kai asked which Legoshi was confused at.

"What do you mean by that?" Legoshi asked while he kept moving the light a bit.

"You can only join this club if they scout you. It's exclusive to those who think they're worthy of representing the club, and I guess being a hybrid had a big reason for that right?" Kai asked while he leaned on the edge a bit.

"I guess, but what do they judge you on exactly?" Legoshi asked which Kai chuckled at again.

"Come on man, don't tell me you joined the club without knowing any of this. For example uh.. look at Sheila from the dance team.." Kai advised while they looked down to her for a little explanation.

"When she was 14, she was scouted when she worked parttime as a dominatrix at a BDS club." Kai listed out while he turned to Mina next.

"Mina can't look at her own body because she's got Trypophobia, and will get scared if she sees herself." Kai continued while Mina got a bit scared after seeing her reflection in a mirror, proving his own point.

"Moro the Rhino believes they see they're own guardian angel, but they're really only looking at they're horn in front of them." Kai pointed out while Legoshi looked really surprised seeing how many students have different secrets about themselves.

"And for me, I was abandoned at birth, but was raised by Hyena's. And the list goes on and on.." Kai finished while Legoshi took a moment to think over about someone else within the club who may have a secret too.

"The whole club's a mixture of unusual character's. Anyone with unique circumstances can join the club. It generates with the theme of exposing your life for what it is." Kai said while he crossed his arms and looked at Legoshi.

"So, what's your secret?" Kai questioned which Legoshi looked surprised a bit.

"What's my secret?" Legoshi asked himself while he looked over the club.

And after being asked that, Legoshi was still in his thoughts after hearing it, as this only made the club far more fascinating then he first thought.

"If everyone here has a secret of they're own, then.. what's Louis's secret?" Legoshi questioned while Louis practicing for the performance.

"Given a dear with as... spotless of a reputation like his." Legoshi asked since he may know something none of  them know about.

"But.. if everyone here does have secrets.. then.. does one of them know.. anything about Tem's killer?" Legoshi questioned while he finished adjusting the light to do a bit more work around the place.

"If I had a secret, it would've been that I am part Komodo Dragon, but that's not exactly something to hide now, is it?" Legoshi asked while he looked at Kai who was a bit disappointed.

"I guess so, but at least it's one of the things that make you more interesting, right?" Kai asked as Legoshi started to move around a bit to help a bit more, still thinking over all of it.

"Maybe.." Legoshi answered as he left Kai alone for now who was still wondering if he had a secret he knew about.

And just above the club, within the vents, multiple eyes were looking over the club as they kept working, and we see two familiar serpents move through the vents again to talk over it.

"So you've been keeping track of the students within the school to find out who the murderer is?" Viola asked while Rokume lead her back to her room so they can discuss this in private to not alert anyone.

"I've been searching for them the day I got back after I saw our mother, but this Carnivore has left no traces that can help me find them, I've barely had any rest since, but I know it must be someone from the Drama Club, since Tem was close to the Carvniores there just before the incident." Rokume replied with a worried look while she looked out the window for some thinking.

"How can you be so sure it's someone from that club?" Viola asked with worry while she slithered up to her sister who was stressed out about it.

"It's the only hint I have to who could've done it, I believe it could be one of the larger Carnivores, but none of them have shown signs of it, so I've only been left to wonder who it was." Rokume said with regret for not being able to do anything up at this point.

Viola felt really bad for her older sister hearing it, knowing how stressful this must be for her, she's the only Security Guard within this school, even with her 6 gazing eyes, it was almost impossible to find the killer with what little she has, she can tell Rokume is really tired from the lack of sleep, and if this keeps up, she may make a mistake that could end up with her losing her job..

"I'm so sorry you've been under all this pressure sis, you've already been looking out for our family for a long time, I can't imagine what it must feel like.." Viola said with guilt while she rubbed her sister's neck a bit to comfort her, and Rokume rubbed her head with her tail as a means of thanks.

"It hasn't been easy, Gon's thankfully very generous with how I handle things, and he said it will be fine if I don't find the killer, but I can't just let a murderer continue to roam free around this school, and potentially cause another incident. I need to find out who, and where they are." Rokume hissed while her tail rattled a bit at the thought, and Viola tried thinking of ways to help her out with it.

"Do you.. think there's anyone who could help? I know people often get.. uncomfortable just from our appearance, but perhaps we could ask someone to help with this case?" Viola suggested which Rokume found hard to accept.

"And risk them getting into trouble with the police or even getting expelled from school? I wouldn't want to be the cause of that, these students work so hard in they're everyday lives, and I don't want to risk them getting killed if they meet the wrong person." Rokume replied as she put her hat on the wall a bit to take a moment to rest since she was on break currently.

"But what if they want to help find the killer just as much as I do? You may be a Security Guard, but you still hide in the shadows, barely taking the chance to ask for help, when you really do need it." Viola countered while Rokume groaned in frustration knowing it's true.

Despite how hard she's been trying, she hasn't found anything since the incident, and she feels like she won't be able to at all unless she finds help, it's all been so stressful to her, and it's only getting worse the longer she goes without finding who the culprit is.

"Even if I do ask a student for help, who could I ask? Gon is just as worried about who it could be, and if they may cause an incident like that to happen again, we don't know who they are, and what we do know, is that they are very dangerous." Rokume said as she placed her head on the wall out of frustration for all of this. And Viola tried thinking of someone that could help them out.

"What.. if we call help from our other sisters? You may be good at keeping track of every student in this school, but our sister's are good at facing bigger Carnivores, especially when together, you've barely used your fangs to defend us against people who attempt to harm us, but our sisters wouldn't hesitate. Perhaps we could ask Emily for help? She does have paralyzing venom after all, if we find evidence to who the killer is, she could paralyze him and make sure we get him turned in?" Viola suggested which did sound possible, her sister's have they're own unique ways of taking down larger Carnivores, her's is to use her large body to keep them in place so they stop trying to fight back, and her special eyesight for tracking to hunt, while her sister's use other methods of fighting back.

"Even if she could help.. I don't want her to become involved with something that may get us in trouble, we've already gone through tough lives as it is, and I don't think Emily would like it if it was made any harder." Rokume dismissed which Viola didn't like.

"She also wouldn't like you putting yourself under so much stress, none of our family would, we're all here to help you when you need it, no matter what risks there are. You've been keeping us safe as our oldest sister, and it's time we help you in return." Viola assured while Rokume looked down with concern with how much she's pushing it.

"But what if something goes wrong? The last time you tried standing up to a Carnivore.. they almost tore your skin off, they were violent, out of control, and almost killed you. If I didn't use my fangs, and venom to kill him, you.. wouldn't be here.." Rokume said as she looked at the scars on her body, while they looked like normal scars now, they were so much worse when Viola was given them, and it was a memory they never would forget.

Viola looked at her own scars with guilt too and shuddered at the memory, she was very young when it happened, barely even 10 years old, it was a really stressful night when it happened, even if she's gotten better overtime, the memory still haunts her to this day.

"I was much younger then I am now, but I've done my best to move on from it, we should try to too. If we need to show everyone else there's more to our kind then meets the eye, we'll need to ask help too. You've had a lot to work with, and it's time we all help you." Viola replied while she rubbed her head to sooth her. And after thinking over it, Rokume sighed in defeat knowing it's true.

"Your right Viola.. I've barely had much time to spend with you all since I started working here, and this murder hasn't made it easier. I.. really do need help.." Rokume said with worry while Viola gave her an assuring smile.

"Don't worry sister, me and our family will always be here to look our for you, just like you have for us. " Viola said calmly while they looked at eachother's eyes, and Rokume looked out the window a bit again to question things.

"If we're going to find out who the killer is.. we need a plan, we'll need help in order to find him soon.. what do you suppose we do?" Rokume asked while Viola hissed a bit and thought over it, and after a few moments, she got an idea that could help.

"I think I know someone who might help us.." Viola replied which had Rokume interested.

Later on, the two of them made they're way through the vents to find who she's looking for, and after making it to the Drama Club room once again, Viola pointed towards a certain hybrid who could be great help.

"Wait.. your wanting to ask.. him for help?" Rokume whispered with surprise while they saw him use his strength to lift a large bar for the stage, and he helped Riz out with a few more things just like what happened before.

"I met him just yesterday, but I already find him so different, and unique. With his hybrid appearance, he already is an odd one within the school, but with what I've seen of him.. he could be a great person to ask." Viola replied which Rokume was hesitant with, and as Viola looked into her eyes, she knows Rokume knows something about this person, and smirked a bit with already getting an idea.

"You've already met him.. haven't you?" Viola suggested as she could see it through her expression, even if she's pretty shy around other people, she's also pretty clever with figuring things out.

"I.. can't hide it from you sister.. I.. have met him. He was able to figure out I was watching him for longer then any other student here, and we met just a couple nights ago after he finally asked me to come out. And he.. actually was willing to empathize with me.. he understood my pain.. just like how I have for his own.. he was the first person in my life that I've met, that ever showed they wanted to.. understand me, and maybe even.. be my friend.." Rokume replied as she looked at Legoshi with one of her eyes again, and she couldn't look away from him.

"I can see why sister, he helped me around the school yesterday too, showing no signs of fear, or discomfort despite me being a Rattlesnake, if he did the same for you, perhaps he'll be okay with helping the two of us if we just ask?" Viola suggested which Rokume hoped would be true.

"I already spent some time with him to understand him more, he's one of the most unique students I've ever seen, he may not show it, but I know that if he tries hard enough, he can show people how strong he can truly be, people may see him as a freak, but what I see is someone special, someone who is a true work of art, someone who I've grown.. quite fond over.." Rokume said as the two of them looked down at Legoshi who yawned a bit while stretching his arms a bit.

"That's an.. interesting way to describe him sister. But if we were to ask him for our help, do you think he would accept it?" Viola whispered while they started moving back to the room to avoid anyone hearing them.

"It's possible, he's been wanting to show other's there's more to him then just his appearance, just like us. Perhaps with some time, and if we get to know him, and he gets to know us, he may grow to be a strong person with proper guidance." Rokume replied with a slight smirk at the thought of what he could be capable of.

"Maybe, but let's not rush things, we should try spending time with him more, try to understand his struggles some more, and grow closer with him, maybe our sister's would also be interested with meeting him too? After enough time, if we ask him for help, as friends, he could help us find the killer in no time." Viola suggested which Rokume hoped could be true.

"With what I've seen of him, I think it could be possible. Even if it would mean the killer is still out there, if we get proper clues to who they are, we can finally put this incident behind us. And Legoshi could be able to help." Rokume replied while she turned to her while Viola was interested on how this is gonna work.

"It looks like we're on the same page then, but I need to ask, how are we gonna be able to spend more time with him? He's already busy within the club as it is, and that performance is coming up very soon, how will we be able to do it?" Viola asked while Rokume put her tail on her chin and thought over it, and got a little idea on what they can do.

"I think I can do something that can work.." Rokume replied while Viola raised what would be an eyebrow if she had one.

"And.. what would that be sister?" Viola asked while Rokume looked at her with a smirk, already feeling confident this will work.

"Tell me.. have you been interested in becoming a student here at this school?" Rokume asked which Viola was very surprised by, but after thinking over it.. it just may work..

Notes:

Thanks for reading this everyone! Again, sorry if things still feel a bit slow right now, but I'm wanting to use the time I have to help set things up for more development for Legoshi, Rokume, and to help set up some ideas I have for the story, I think they can work if done right, and I just hope this is interesting to you all so far with how I've handled it. I'm really thankful you all like this story so far, and I'll do what I can to keep it interesting going forward.

I also recently watched part 1 of Season 3 so far, and I have to say, I think it was really good, and the only thing I can hope for is that the 2nd part takes it's time to properly wrap things up so it feels conclusive.

Because I think most of us can agree that despite Beastars being a great series, the last parts of it felt extremely rushed and unfulfilling, it may have felt like the end to just an arc.. kinda, but not for the entire series, I think a lot of the character's didn't get proper development and felt underutilized, they could've been way more interesting if given more time and development. There was just a lot that didn't feel properly finished in the last volume. I actually think one last arc that focuses on Legoshi developing Komodo Dragon features when he becomes an adult, and learning to accept them while also wrapping up lose ends with other character's would be a much better ending. I do hope the series does get a few more volumes one day, but I also hope the show does a better job with finishing the story.

But for now I hope you all liked this so far, and look forward to more of it.
