Peregrine stood in the doorway of his room watching the boy that was lying down on his bed. It'd been a tossup between him and Lucian this summer on who would house Harry after the shitshow that was the Ministry fiasco as they'd all collectively agreed to call it. He knew Marcus and Terence especially were cackling at the Order of the chickens thinking that Harry had been kidnapped under their noses somehow while on the Hogwarts Express. But if they'd seriously never realized that the kid hadn't been living with his piece of shit relatives since the summer after his first year, that just reaffirmed for them how stupid Dumbledore truly was. But none of them really cared since the 'Light' were doing more harm than good, especially to a fucking fifteen-year-old they were hiding behind. He knew that Harry wouldn't let any of them truly do anything bad because he'd just end up sad and all of them hated him being sad. He remembers when Harry found out that Terence had been replaced with Malfoy back then and how Adrian had floundered upon finding a crying Harry, devastated that he couldn't play against 'his big brother' anymore. They'd all collectively lost their shit when Adrian had shown up with a crying and exhausted Harry cuddled into his chest; they'd been glad Malfoy, and his minions hadn't been in the common room then before they'd relocated to their dorms for a 'cuddle party'. Terence had been distraught at how upset Harry was to no longer play against him and rarely let him out of his sight for days afterwards which was interesting when it came to classes. That had been one of many nightmares during Harry's second year, honestly one of many since he'd fucking arrived at Hogwarts, honestly.
"Per." Harry mumbled as he turned over to stare at the boy.
Peregrine shook his head as he made his way over to the bed. He crawled on top of the blankets to sit against his headboard and allow Harry to lean against him. He carded his fingers through Harry's hair, knowing he loves it considering it's what Theodore Nott is seen doing about 95% of the time he's seen with Harry. They all know it's because Harry is touch starved making them all angry knowing everything in why that's the case. When Daphne Greengrass's father went to get custody of Harry it caused Daphne to then cuddle Harry for an entire night when she found out, which honestly was only a small portion of the reality, confusing the poor kid before snuggling up against her all content. He snorts remembering that Jason, Adar, and Cassius had to walk away before they wrapped Harry up in blankets and not let him go, they almost didn't send him back to Gryffindor afterwards. Honestly when everyone had found out the extent of what Harry dealt with at his 'relatives' it took everything not to storm the house for retribution. They never did find out what Zabini's mother did but honestly, Peregrine couldn't care less as long as they're no longer a problem to his little one.
Harry tries burrowing further into his side causing him to smile. He leans down and kisses Harry's temple, causing the boy to mumble sleepily.
"Graham said he'd be by tomorrow at nine so we can take you to Gringotts to have Sirius's will read."
Harry hums in response and tightens his arms around Peregrine's waist. Peregrine continues to card his fingers through Harry's hair, watching as the boy's breathing slowed until he fell asleep. Peregrine didn't move as he watched Harry, hoping against all hope, that he wouldn't have nightmares but knowing it was unlikely. It'd only been a day since the end of the school year and already Harry's nightmares were terrible considering it'd not even been a week since Sirius died and the Ministry discovered and finally admitted that Voldie was back. As he laid back against his headboard, carding his fingers through Harry's hair, he wondered just what fresh hell was waiting for Harry in the coming school year, and was terrified if he was honest. Jason, Adar, and Miles were the only ones besides Nott, Zabini, and Greengrass, who were going to be back, three in their last year and the other three in Harry's. He, Terence, Lucian, and Graham had just finished their final year while Marcus, Cassius, and Adrian had been the year before, which being the TriWizard Tournament year had been a nightmare and a half. Peregrine shakes his head before carefully extracting himself to get ready for bed and then slip in next to Harry, allowing the boy to attach himself like an octopus. He runs his hand up and down Harry's back and falls asleep to the thought that hopefully the will reading goes about as well as one can expect.
Peregrine and Graham look at each other over Harry's head as they hold onto the crying, overwhelmed boy. They're left alone in the room that was used for the will reading trying to hold Harry together and wondering what the future is going to look like from what they just discovered and what Harry already started. They're both in shock and aren't even sure how they're going to relay everything to the others because they're still trying to process it themselves. One thing they know for sure, heads are going to roll, and the world is going to truly see how far the British Wizarding World has fallen (more so than they already thought). Graham let out a puff of air before nodding his head and letting go of Harry to stand up and kneel in front of said boy.
"Are you ready to head back home now or do you need a little more time?"
"A little more time please." Harry manages to utter.
"No problem." Graham responds as he rubs circles onto Harry's knees to help calm him down.
Graham looks up at Peregrine as the two allow the boy to continue to calm down after the revelations and then immediate decisions that were made. Neither boy can believe what happened but know that Dumbledore and Voldie are about to pay in ways neither will expect. They stay sitting in the room for another 20 minutes before Harry says he's ready to go. They stop by the Potter account manager to finalize the meeting for everything going with the accounts before shuffling to a private floo to head back to Peregrine's home. Once back they have Harry change into more comfortable clothes and then have him lay down for a needed nap while they plot and figure out how to let the others know what happened. They wish they could be there when the Order of chickens is forcefully removed from Grimmauld since Harry is Lord Black. They're curious to how it's going to go when the public finds out that James and Lily Potter were in a triad with Regulus Black so Harry is technically Potter-Black. Then the contents of the wills, which included the Potter's that Dumbledore illegally had sealed, and even Regulus's which was a shock but not unsurprising since the goblins had Harry do several tests before they even read the wills leading to some of the discoveries. They both want and don't want to be in Malfoy Manor when the letters arrive for Bellatrix and Narcissa. Bellatrix will probably lose it when she's informed that she's been taken out of the family, losing vaults and any heirlooms (meaning even if they were moved to a Lestrange vault they were being taken back), and that she'll lose the family magic, (that one is going to make her explode). Then Narcissa's will be something, that's for sure. She'll be informed that currently anything of hers that's in the name of Black is frozen and if she continues with following Voldie (even if she isn't marked), she will end up with the same fate as Bellatrix, and that Draco was never in line nor ever able to get the Black Lordship and if he gets marked, he'll lose any Black family magic he may have had as well, along with any vaults he may have had being a child of a Black. Then because it's Harry, he decided to add in Narcissa's letter, something for the resident Dark Lord, by telling him that if he'd kept his intelligence from when he still was Tom Riddle, he'd have taken the Slytherin Lordship and not let in stay dormant until Harry was able to take it by right of conquest. That as a result any spies he plans to have in Hogwarts are going to be null and void because he's going to have wards that will detect the dark mark and then trap the person marked before they're dealt with. They muse how that will go with Snape since he has the mark and is apparently a double spy along with being the Potions professor and Slytherin Head of House.
Peregrine looks over to Graham as they sit staring out onto the manor's property. He wonders how more involved the two of them, Terence, and Lucian were going to get in regards to keeping Harry safe when there's not as much involvement when they've now graduated but it's about to get more dangerous. He knows the taunting towards Voldie that was placed in Narcissa's letter since her letter was more threats being levied currently, will make the megalomaniac explode; he just wished Harry chose when he was going to be a smart ass better, it was already a trial trying to keep him safe. Regardless, they all would do everything and anything they could to keep their precious little one safe and happy.
