Star Magic Spells was packing things up and getting ready to go to her next place. "Oh, and before you leave for the day, I have one more announcement. This Sunday, Lalaloopsy Land will be having a bake sale, it is mandatory, you have to come to it, but this isn't an ordinary bake sale. This is just for cakes. It is just a cake bake sale," Crumbs Sugar Cookie announced. "No, no no, she didn't say cake, no no no, this is terrible. Just act normal, just, nothing's wrong, you're not scared of cakes, just, oh, you can't let everyone know you're scared of cakes! What am I gonna do? I just need to think of something and I just, I just need to get out of here as fast as possible," Star thought to herself.
Star went back to her castle and saw Spot Splatter Splash frosting a cake over there. "Hey, Star, look what I'm doing," Spot said as she was frosting a cake at Star's castle, when Star didn't even ask her first. Seeing Spot at Star's castle horrified her. "I already got started on the fundraiser," Spot told Star. "Those look so... they look great!" Star said, all scared. "I even made you a cake," Spot said as she showed the cake that she made for Star. "Oh, um, uh, thank you! Okay, well, I gotta go! I gotta go! Okay, bye!" Star said frantically as she ran away from Spot and back to her room. "That was weird," Spot said after witnessing Star's reaction to Spot's cake that she was frosting in Star's kitchen.
Star ran back over to her room to go sit on her bed. "I made that so obvious! I really hope she doesn't find out about my secret fear of cake, because she's gonna use it to her advantage to splatter my dress and make me cry! I'm so scared of cake and messy desserts because I don't want my dress splattered!" Star said in a panicky tone of voice. A flashback was shown to where Star was at a birthday party that involved cake, with mess lovers Spot Splatter Splash and Berry Jars 'N' Jam by her side. "Okay, everybody, it's time to have the cake for Jewel Sparkles' party!" Mari Golden Petals announced. "I can finally eat my cake!" Jewel said happily. Spot Splatter Splash, being the mess lover she is, went ahead and shoved Star's face into the cake, making her face all messy. "You evil pants! You ruined my birthday, you ruined my cake, you ruined my party, you ruined everything!" Jewel told Star as the two mess loving Lalaloopsies pointed at Star and laughed, while Star cried about the mess all over her face, ending the flashback.
"Okay, I don't wanna think about that time anymore when Spot did this to me. Ugh, it's just affected my life so much. Now I can't even watch TV?" Star asked, as another flashback started of Star about to watch something on TV. "Yes, I can finally watch TV," Star said as she went ahead and turned the TV on. "Today, we'll be making cake!" an announcer said on the TV. As soon as Star heard that, she went ahead and changed the channel. "What's that smell? I'm baking cake," another exchange on the TV went, as Star changed the channel again. "And here's the official music video for Crumbs Sugar Cookie's new hit, 'The Best'," another TV announcer said. "Finally, something not related to cake!" Star said, all happy. "I think cake is the best, putting dessert to the test, love the frosting just like cream, when someone says cake I gotta scream, I guess cupcakes are all right!" Crumbs sang on the TV, as Star witnessed all that right in front of her eyes. "I don't think I can ever watch TV again," Star said after she just saw all that.
"And I told Misty Mysterious that there's something wrong with a certain Lalaloopsy so I could write my spell books somewhere else so I wouldn't have to go to Lalaloopsy Land's cake fundraiser we're having on Sunday that Crumbs announced. I don't know what I'm gonna do about that. You know what, I think I just need to write up a good spell book so I can keep Misty impressed. I don't wanna let her down. So I just can't think about all this cake madness anymore," Star said to herself. Star got out her notebook and got to writing some spells, trying not to think about this whole messy cake thing. Star was about to think up something to write, but then got hungry, but then just remembered she didn't want cake. "How am I supposed to write spells if I can't focus for more than two seconds? I'll look up some good spells online," Star said as she got her laptop to go look some up.
"Good spells to put in your spell book," Star typed into the search bar then went to searching. A video then popped up of Crumbs Sugar Cookie telling her method on how to write better spells. "Want to write better spells? That's what you'll write when you eat one of my very own cupcakes! Want to write amazing spells to impress a Lalaloopsy who looks up to you? Just eat one of my very own magic cupcakes!" Crumbs said in her little commercial she did. After Star saw this she immediately closed her laptop. "Cupcakes are basically mini versions of cake! I know what I need to do! I just need to face my fear of cake, but I am not willing to get my dress all messy! I'll just eat a piece and hope no Lalaloopsies laugh at me or anything! Maybe that will solve this whole problem!" Star said as she got up off her bed and back to the kitchen.
"Spot, do you think I can see that cake you made me?" Star asked as she got back in the kitchen. "Yeah, sure, here you go," Spot answered as she handed the cake over to Star. Star, trying to not get herself messy, used one of her magic spells of hers to cut off a piece from the cake and place it on a plate. Star then ate the piece of frosted chocolate cake with a fork. "Wow, I wish I could have a piece too, but I have to serve the rest of this cake for the fundraiser," Spot said as she watched Star eat her piece. "You mean, you're not mad? You're not gonna give me any of your messes?" Star asked. "No," Spot answered. "You're not grinning or laughing at me either," Star told Spot. "Should I be?" Spot asked. "I think I'm cured. This tastes so good," Star said as she went to a table to go have a piece of cake. Spot insanely grinned at the camera to end off this Lalaloopsy episode, meaning that Star shouldn't count on Spot finally ending her messy regime, in fact this evil grin was only a sign about what's to come in later works!
