Chapter Text
Everyone stood in shock as the roof collapsed on the bride and groom. Suika tried to make a run for it, but Potemkin grabbed her out of the air.
“I’m taking you back to the station” Potemkin says “Wildfire, can you deal with this from here?”
“I’ll do my best.” Wildfire says. Potemkin nods and drags Suika back to the station. Wildfire makes his way over to the rubble, when some coughing came from the pile. Wildfire bashed his shield into the rubble when a flash of blue erupted from the pile. The shockwave sent debris all across the room. When the dust cleared, Himo was surrounded by a blue shield as Incineroar had a metal knife atop on his head.
“Boss.” Wildfire said, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Incineroar responded “Did you catch the melon?”
“Pot has her down at the station.” Wildfire responds. “He’s interrogating her right now.”
“You head down to help him out.” Incineroar replies “I’ll be down there after we clean up the music hall.”
“Are we not having the wedding?” Himo asked. “We’ve been planning this for so long.”
“This isn’t what you’ve wanted” Incineroar responded, “You deserve what you’ve been planning for your entire life.”
“But I don’t…”
“I’ll fix this whole thing” Incineroar interrupts “and then we can finally start the life you’ve always wanted.” He walked out the building, ignoring his fiancées pleas, thinking only about vengeance.

“Nice to see your alive boss.” Potemkin says as Incineroar and Wildfire walk into the building.
“Nice to be alive.” He responds, "Have you gotten Suika to speak yet?”
“She said she’ll only talk to you.” He replies, “I couldn’t get anything out of her.”
“Alright, I’m going in.” He says, “If things get to heated, pull me out.”
“Are you sure you should do this Incin?” Wildfire asks, “You’re still pretty worked up about all this.”
“I’m trying to get justice,” He responds, “And if this is how I have to do it, than this is how I’ll do it.” Wildfire just nods, as Incineroar walks out into the holding room.
“To what do I owe this honor?” Suika asks as Incineroar enters.
“Cut the crap.” Incineroar says “The faster you tell us your associates, the sooner you end up behind bars.”
“Why do you assume I had associates?” Suika asks “How do you know I wasn’t acting alone?”
“That letter was signed ‘horizon’, and as far as I know, there isn’t anyone here who goes by that alias, so that leaves an organization behind all this.”
“Hey Incin, we need you back here.” Wildfire calls from the intercom.
“I’ll be right back.” Incineroar says to Suika “If you move even a centimeter, I’ll send you away so quick you won’t know what hit you.” Incineroar walks behind the one-way mirror, but before he can ask why they called him back, he spotted a pink puff floating around the room.
“Hey Kirby.” Incineroar responded, “I don’t have any food on me right now, but I think I have some granola bars in the breakroom.”
“Poyo.” Kirby says, before handing Incineroar a piece of paper and walking towards the breakroom.
“What is it?” Potemkin asks.
“Step One: Have Cartman deliver bomb threat to Incineroars wedding,” Incineroar reads off the paper. “I think we’ve got some evidence.”
“Does it list Suika on it?” Wildfire asks, trying to look over Incineroar’s shoulder.
“It lists much more than just Suika.” Incineroar responds, heading out the door.
“Where are you going?” Potemkin shouts.
“To the apartments.” Incineroar responds “We’re going to take down these assholes.”

“Hey Incin…” Todd says, approaching the fire type. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with Himo?”
“I’m busy working on the case.” Incineroar responds.
“Dude, go to your wife.” Todd says, “You need to put something above your work.”
“You’re always away on business, and you and ShoCk are the best couple I know.” Incineroar tries to justify, “She won’t mind if I wait for our wedding.”
“Yes, she will.” Todd responds, “It’s okay that you enjoy your work, but you should put her first.”
“You’re one to talk.” Incineroar responds “All you do is work, and you and ShoCk are doing just fine.” Todd gave a deep sigh, before ultimately deciding to tell Incineroar something he’d been hiding for a month.
“Me and ShoCk have been divorced for over a month.” Todd says. Incineroar stops in his track,
“What?” Incineroar asks “Why didn’t you say anything”
“Because neither of us wanted to overshadow your guy’s engagement.” Todd responded. “You two deserved better than to have to deal with our problems.”
“What happened?” Incineroar questions.
“I was working way to much, leaving ShoCk alone with all the kids” Todd responded “We tried everything we could, but we eventually realized that this is what was best for all of us.” Incineroar just stood there in silence. He still didn’t believe what he was hearing. How could the best couple he knew just end it like that?
“Look, I’m not proud about what I did.” Todd continued “But you can do better. Leave whatever this is to Potemkin and Wildfire.” Incineroar nods, before pulling out his phone and dialing his coworkers
“Thank you.” Incineroar responds “And I’m really sorry about ShoCk.”

Himo was still in her wedding dress, her makeup smudged across her face, when there was a knock at the door.
“Hello?” Himo sniffles “Who is it?”
“It’s me” Incineroar responds through the door. “May I come…” Before he can finish his sentence, Himo tears the door off her apartment.
“Where have you been?” Himo asks angerly. “Why have you been ignoring my calls?”
“I was being selfish.” He replies, hanging his head in shame “I was trying to carry out my own vendetta, not thinking about what you might have needed from me. You said you wanted a big wedding, so when you didn’t get it, I lost my cool a little bit.”
“I never cared about the size of our wedding,” She says, “I just wanted us to be together.”
“I realize that now.” He responds, “I’m so stupid. Could you ever find it to forgive me?”
“Of course.” She responds, hugging her fiancé. “I don’t care if we get married in a massive church, or in a pit of dirt, all I want is you.”
“If only we could do it right now.” He says.
“Why can’t we?” She asks.
“I don’t know about the legality of that.” Incineroar chuckles. “We’ll have to find some other time.”
“I see.” She responds “How about this? We give each other our vows right now, make the promises we owe to each other, and then do something more official at a later date.”
“Alright.” Incineroar says, clearing his throat “Himo, since the day that we met, when I had to stop a fight between you and that half elf, I’ve known that you are special. You are the greatest part of my life, and for as long as you can stand me, I promise to always put you before everything else in my life.”
“Aww, you’re so sweet.” Himo fawns, wiping a tear from her eye. “I don’t know how to top that.”
“Just say what’s in your heart.” Incineroar responds “That’s all I did.”
“Okay. Incineroar, You are only thing I can think about.” Himo starts “From the moment I wake up, to the moment I fall asleep, all I think about is you. Your incredible taste in food, your stylish vests, your cute little goggles.” She starts to giggle, not really knowing where to go from here “After my first fiancé was killed 20 minutes after we got engaged, I didn’t know if I’d ever love again…”
“Little tip for the big wedding, don’t bring up your dead fiancé.” Incineroar interrupts.
“Sorry” Himo apologizes “Anyways… I promise to love you, no matter how much you may piss me off sometimes, and I swear to not bring up my ex-fiancé at our actual wedding.”
“May I kiss the bride?” Incineroar asks. Himo nods, and the two exchange their first kiss as a married couple.
