Gwen and Bridgette were silently listening as Gwen painted Bridgette's nails. As she was doing so, she noticed a little red string slightly peaking out of the cuff of her hoodie.
Strange.. Gwen thought, eyeing the string. I never noticed that. ”Bridgette?” Gwen started, interrupting LeShawna's rantings about Harold. In response, Bridgette perked up.”What's with the red string on your wrist?” Gwen inquired, pointing to the string.
Bridgette looked down at the wrist Gwen had been pointing to before raising the cuff of her sleeve to show Gwen a better view of the unusual string. ”Oh this. So I’ve seen people do this. So you put it on and once you meet your ‘soulmate’ it’ll fall off naturally.” Bridgette explained.
”That's dumb.” Gwen commented.
