Giangio wasn't sure if he should be doing this. It was far safer at Hotel Krat where everyone else who survived were. Maybe he should've just stayed there, it's not like anyone really cared that he was hanging out in the back, completely hidden in the shadows.
He liked his quietness, his space.
But this was not what he'd think he'd ever do in his entire life. And that was wilingly looking for the puppet who helped him a few times.
Maybe he had worried a little bit, it has been hours since he last saw P.
Giangio glanced around, afraid of any automaton's appearing out of nowhere. All he had was his walking stick, and he wasn't sure if that would be good enough in a fight.
"I just have to stay calm," Giangio said meekly, gripping the cane.
It had been an hour since it rained, and the entire bridge he was now standing on remained wet since then. He lifted his gaze to the sky and frowned at the dark clouds. It seemed it was gonna rain again, and there was a light mist on the mostly empty road.
"Where did you go?" Giangio said, unable to ignore the worry filling his chest. He really didn't want him to suddenly disappear like everyone else. "You became far more interesting. It would be a shame if you died now."
He waited a moment longer, and when he saw no one, he decided to walk back to the hotel where it was safe.
Maybe the puppet would come back soon.
With a sigh, Giangio turned around and began his walk off the bridge, at least until he heard the slightest sound not too far away.
He glanced back over his shoulder, and spotted a figure stepping past knocked over carriages and past broken glass. He didn't appear as disheveled as most people, if there were anymore in the city. He was calm in his face, but the moment he spotted Giangio, there was a small smile appearing on the corner of his lips.
Giangio sighed in relief. "Oh, you're alive! I…was worried, so very worried about you. Please, I wasn't sure if you were going to come back," he said when P drew near.
The puppet tilted his head slightly, seemingly confused.
Giangio smiled softly. "I…seem to grow an attachment towards you. Don't worry about it too much. I won't do anything rash, unlike what I've done right now. We should head back. Drink some tea, if there's any left."
P nodded, and they began making their way back to the hotel.
