“I’m in my hoard,” Bruce interrupted, and Alfred had to sigh. Traditionally, unicorns were considered the first element of a dragon’s personal hoard. Magically, however, the very first part of every new dragon’s hoard was the dragon themself. Hence, every dragon had at least one title, based purely on the color of their scales, even if a unicorn never came for them.
“A dragon being its own hoard doesn’t mean you can kidnap other creatures,” Alfred said. “And unicorns are traditional.”
“Well, some unicorns are too traditional,” Bruce snapped, cradling the harpy chick closer to his chest.
