Summary:

“Huh, I guess it did burn after all,” the sentence slipped out unbidden, as Dazai reached a finger out to tentatively, near reverently, brush one of the scars curving under Chuuya’s shoulder blades.

Chuuya shivered under the touch before jerking his head around. “What the hell are you talking about?”

Dazai weighed whether he should acknowledge the scars any further, especially given the new bleeding hole in Chuuya’s shoulder just waiting to scar, but he supposed Chuuya deserved to know, and maybe a distraction would do them both some good. “The wings, when you activated Corruption against Verlaine… you had wings of black flame.”

What if the black flame wings Chuuya had during Corruption burned him? He and Dazai confront the scars left behind after a mission gone wrong.
