Too Late

Summary:

Dr. Villan finally found a way to become immortal, but now, he’s not sure if that’s really what he ever wanted.

I recently found out what a drabble actually is and the idea of writing something in exactly 100 words interested me enough to try it! :)

This was what Dr. Steven Villan wanted, wasn’t it?

All that effort for the sake of immortality.. In the past, the very idea of that not being his only purpose would have been insane to him. He’d decided this was what he wanted after the accident, didn’t he?

Yet now, he sits in his office alone. It’s quiet. It’s been quiet for a long time. The days of just listening to his son talk and talk are long gone…

Maybe he should’ve died back then, not gone down this path of selfish destruction and experimentation…

Alas, it’s too late now.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Wilardo Adler from Witch’s Heart and his thoughts on his own immortality which led me to thinking about a scenario in which my OC, the antagonist of the story he’s from, succeeded. It’s not something I tend to think about much.
Also realising that I think I might just like the idea of the villain getting what they want only for them to realise that it was never truly about that…
