"Ivan." Yoo Joonghyuk stopped in his tracks when he saw his son's condition, they were in a hospital room. The machines were the only thing making noise. It made Joonghyuk want to puke.
"Dad.." Ivan's face was tired, his eyes twitched, and he wanted to cry. Ivan felt terrible and doesn't know why.
"Why did you do that?" Yoo Joonghyuk sat beside his son, caressing his head to comfort him, like his wife, Kim dokja, used to do when their ivan cried. Yoo Joonghyuk wanted his wife was present, but alas.
"I-I don't know! My body moved on its own I-I dont-"
"It's fine, it's fine." Yoo Joonghyuk hugged his son, patting his back, as Ivan sobbed on his shoulder.
Why did he do that? Why did he risk his life to save that guy? He doesn't know why he's crying. Either he or that person almost died.
What exactly happened earlier?
"Sir, you have an appointment at 5:00 PM-"
"I know." Ivan headed towards his black car, having just walked outside one of his father's workplaces. He'd expected it, but not this soon. He had been approved and appointed as the heir to his father's company. Ivan had expected this a long time ago, but he had not expected his father to take over the company to him at such a young age.
He is twenty-two years old and already has a company, great.
When he saw stairs going to an underground train station, he came to a halt. his car was already parked alongside it. Suddenly, he wants to take the train home for no apparent reason, it's as if his gut and instincts are calling him down.
Ivan sighed and opened the front car door, looking at his driver.
"I'm taking the train today, just drop the car off at my house." With that, Ivan turned his heels and strode briskly down the stairs to the underground train station.
"W-Wait, sir!" Ivan began to walk faster, and his assistant immediately followed him.
Ivan was unfamiliar with the location, since he was a child, he had always been driven home rather than traveled by train. His mother didn't want his son to take the train because his mother told him that there were many things that could happen to him on the train, Ivan wanted to protest but his mother had experience. His mother was formerly an office worker who commuted by subway, and as a result, his father was unable to protest as well.
His father, as he knows, was extremely afraid of his mother. Despite the fact that he was born with a golden spoon, his father wanted him to have normal experiences, but his mother occasionally intervened.
No trains, no outside drinking, and much more.
He can't contradict his mother's rationale, though, he's been through these things.
"Why the trains, sir?"
"Just so."
Ivan looked around and noticed that many others were in here with him, as expected, the silence was uncomfortable for Ivan because the only noise at the station was the announcer.
Ivan glanced around more, and he noticed someone.
Someone truly divine and ethereal. Ivan stared at the man standing near the safety lines and paths. He didn't like it, so Ivan approached him and noticed how upset the man appeared. The man in front of him had eye bags. he appeared exhausted and dead. He's pallid, with bruises all over his arms and neck. His face was sweaty, and he appeared to be about to pass out.
"Hey, are you okay-" Before Ivan could wrap his arms around the man, he hopped down onto the train railings. Many people rose up and gazed at the man who jumped down, no one jumped down to help him.
Except Ivan.
"Are you crazy?!" he exclaimed as he leaped down and seized the man's hand. "Why are you-" The roar of the train caused them both to come to a halt on their tracks, the train was only an inch away, and Ivan froze in his place, unsure what to do. Ivan panicked as the man he was holding appeared to have passed out from tiredness.
He didn't even notice that the train was about to hit him.
"Are you crazy?!" Ivan flinched in his seat, looking at his father, who had been sweating the entire time. His mother had just arrived at the hospital and learned about what had occurred to his kid.
"Yeah! Great, you saved a person, but at what cost? You almost died!" His mother's antics were expected of the two, of course, Ivan knows that the news of him nearly dying will drive his mother insane, so nothing new. Outsiders view his mother as someone who knows how to keep a straight face. 'He doesn't let his feelings out easily.' But looking at his mother right now, he almost wants to laugh out loud but holds it in to avoid further reprimand.
"Kim dokja-"
"Don't you fucking dare interrupt." Kim Dokja scowled at his husband, and Yoo Joonghyuk closed his mouth, closed his eyes, and wished that hell's vengeance would not strike today.
"You." Kim Dokja returned his gaze to his son, and Ivan flinched. Ivan looked to his father for assistance, but Yoo Joonghyuk simply ignored his son's pleading, no matter how much he wanted to help, he couldn't win against his wife.
"Um, excuse me?" The door opened, showing a nurse, thank goodness.
Kim dokja breathed and exhaled before smiling at the nurse and asking what she needed.
Ivan stared at his father with skeptical eyes, and Yoo Joonghyuk could only sigh, his mother, the guy who was going insane previously, was suddenly smiling like an angel while speaking to the nurse.
Scary. Ivan thought.
"From his bruises... we can really say that he's been abused. The test results confirm that he's an omega, and his neck had a bunch of marks. Temporarily, temporarily marking." The nurse reports make the mood in the room become cold.
"The abuser?"
"Well.. the police had been involved but they're still searching, sir."
Yoo Joonghyuk nodded to the nurse and excused herself, walking out of the room with a bow.
"Poor boy." Kim dokja sat beside his son, looking at the material the nurse had given him, which was filled with details about the man Ivan had saved.
"What's his name?" Ivan drank the water his father gave to him.
"Till. Hwang Till."
It's been months since that happened, and Ivan has become friends with the man he saved; he's still in the hospital, Ivan was released early, possibly a week or two ago, but till is still there. His injuries were severe. Till's entire body is covered with bruises. And some of them are quite horrible, some are simply light, and some are heartbreaking to witness.
Till's neck was covered in forced temporary marks made by an alpha. That made Ivan ill and angry.
He doesn't know why. He is simply mad.
But every time he does, his fury is replaced with delight, as Till grins at him whenever Ivan sees him. Ivan admires Till, his eyes, his shyness, his stubbornness, the way he speaks, his hair, his voice, his lips, and the way he smiles and laughs with him.
He enjoys everything about Till.
But that resemblance rapidly developed into stalking, Ivan hired security personnel outside Till's hospital room and installed hidden cameras in the room to keep an eye on Till every night and day.
The stalking rapidly escalated into obsession.
Every day, Ivan thinks only about till. He only wants to mark till. He wants to make till his adorable, beloved wife. Even the prospect of Till being his wife may turn Ivan on, imagining Till cooking for him every morning, waking up beside him, and marking him makes Ivan extremely pleased and content.
Ah.. He wonders what will happen if he marks till now. Would he be angry? Will he be sad? Will he be happy? Ivan hummed quickly as he stared at the cameras he had covertly installed in his hospital room. It showed till singing, and Ivan wondered if he could sing exquisite if he fucked till like there was no tomorrow. He imagined Till's moans as exquisite music in his ears.
Fuck. He wants to pound on him right now.
"I know that look." Ivan hastily slammed his phone down when his mother's voice came from behind him. "Really? Stalking?" Kim dokja smiled at Ivan, making Ivan feel like a suspect apprehended by police.
"Your dad could do better than that, really." Kim dokja sips his coffee in his favorite mug with the design of "#1 Best Mom" which is... Not a lie, Kim Dokja was the best mother to Ivan, yet he digressed.
Kim Dokja remarked, more like counsel, "Just don't hurt him." Before walking off.
Ivan could hear his mother say from afar, "Aish... really, alphas are dangerous."
