With you etched onto me

Summary:

Endo Yamato was an Omega. However, he couldn't be marked. This turned Takiishi almost insane.

Work Text:

“This is such a fine piece of art!” Exclaimed the tattoo artist as he held the design that Endou pulled an all-nighter to make “Did you draw it yourself?”

To his question, Takiishi eyed Endou, indicating that he would be the one who did the talking. The tall lad immediately picked up the sign, as he always did when they were together, and started yapping away, much to Takiishi's dislike.

“I came up with the design myself. That is the version I like best.”

“You really drew it like a professional!” The tattoo artist praised as he went through the skin prep. “Don’t know if you did it coincidentally, but the way you lay out the details is so perfect that I won’t have to fix it. You know, if the details are too close then they will get blurry after the tattoo heals.”

“That’s flattering. I didn’t know it takes that much effort.” Endou shrugged as he replied. “I just think that I’d like the drawing to be clear.”

“A genius then! You should work with us!” He jokingly commented. “What is the meaning of the design?”

There was a moment of hesitation before Endou simply said “It was his name.”

“Frank?” The other asked.

“No, not that.” He denied, but refused to elaborate. Not here. Not in front of the inspiration himself.

Endou was no way shy to share his interest in Takiishi to complete strangers, but somehow he was shy to show the man of the subject that he had clearly, and maybe deeply, taken a liking in.

“Man, I’m curious. I’m always fascinated by tattoos with personal meanings.”

They were so busy chatting that it took Endou a while to notice the slightest of frowns on Takiishi’s face, clearly directed at the tattoo artist. Smell of burned cinnamon was sipping out from him, meaning he was pissed, which tugged at the corners of Endou’s smiling lips. His signature half polite-half joking smile trembled as Endou was trying hard to fight back the Omega inside of him, whose only wish at that moment was to kneel between Takiishi’s thighs.

Endou hummed and nodded as a reply to the artist, wanting to end the conversation with him. Takiishi had always been like this when Endou spent too much time talking. He would emit his Alpha pheromone, which seemed to only circle around Endou, an unmated Omega and make him shut up. Until now, Endou still didn’t quite understand this behavior, so he just assumed that the Alpha didn’t like it when he talked too much. In spite of the intensity of the warning smell, Endou found himself talking in a lungful of the cinnamon scent, which tingled him just the right way.

“Yikes, you should tell me if you’re feeling off about anything. That pheromone is intense.” The tattoo artist said as he backed off from Takiishi, “I’m an Alpha too, so that kinda bothers me even though I’m wearing a mask.”

“Sorry, it’s not your fault.” Endou said as he moved to the other side of the bed, where Takiishi was facing. “Just keep up with your work.”

“Okay, if you say so.” He shrugged and carried on.

The rest of the process went smoothly, with Takiishi’s pheromone thinning but still present and Endou’s grapefruit essence intertwining with it unconsciously. Endou stared at Takiishi’s shoulder, where his design was honored, almost endearingly. He urged Takiishi to look at himself in the mirror, excitedly waiting for an “it’s good” or even just a pleased scent from Takiishi. And he gave him just that.

Endou knew the risks of putting an unmated Omega and an unmated Alpha in the same place, but he let Takiishi stay over countless times anyway. That day was not an exception. Endou got to watch as Takiishi got out of the shower and into his tank top, which he rarely put on, as if to show off his brand new tattoo. Actually, Endou knew that Takiishi would never do something as cliché as that, but he felt content as the tank top allowed Takiishi’s cinnamon scent to freely fill his place.

Endou loved doing things to get that fresh cinnamon scent out of Takiishi. It smelled the best when he was happy. So he cooked his favorite dish, played his favorite songs on the piano and prepared his bed the way he wanted, which hadn’t changed since the first time he saw Takiishi sleep. Endou let himself bask in that endearing smell, he even let out more of his own to provoke Takiishi’s Alpha side, to get more of that scent.

Endou went to sleep in a different room and woke up early, he cooked breakfast and left without a word. Takiishi was still asleep. He didn’t know if he should tell Takiishi then or later about what he was planning to do, so he decided to delay whatever was coming. Takiishi wouldn’t care anyway, he thought and let that thought weigh on his heart a bit more than necessary. It wasn’t like Endou needed him to care more about him. He was lucky Takiishi even let him be around his space.

“Oh! Genius designer!” The familiar tattoo artist greeted him as he came through the door. “Great to see you again.”

He got closer to welcome him into the shop but immediately froze as the scent on Endou reached his nose. His pierced eyebrows creased but he said nothing, so Endou chose to pay no mind to his behavior.

“I didn’t ask for your name yesterday. That was rude of me. What’s your name?” Endou asked, wanting to strike a conversation.

“Just Touru is okay.”

“Wanting to get on the first name basis?”

“I was just feeling lucky today.” Touru winked at Endou as he said. “What brings you here?”

“I want the same tattoo as Takiishi did yesterday.”

“Ouch. Matching tattoos now are we. You should have just got that done yesterday too.”

“Nah. I’m keeping this a secret from him.”

“Pinning?”

“A lot.”

Endou laughed and Touru followed, even though there was nothing to laugh about. The tension in Endou’s stomach seemed to loosened and he felt less sore somewhere in his chest. After asking for his permission, Touru touched his skin. He was applying cream and disinfectant and whatever onto his shoulder, the only thing that was on Endou’s mind at the moment was the combination of warm fingers, even though there were gloves, and cold, wet compounds against his skin.

“So the grapefruit scent that has been lingering in my place since yesterday was yours.” Touru said as he applied something else that Endou didn’t know onto his skin, making him shiver. A good kind of shiver.

“Ah, sorry. I didn’t know I was releasing pheromones. Sorry for releasing it now, and then, too.” Endou murmured.

“It’s okay, really. It lets me know about your well-being. And you say sorry too much. I didn’t see you as the type to do so.”

“Me neither.”

Endou had never really thought about the way he interacted with people before. He just had a collection of talks and acts ready to get a pleasing reaction out of everyone, ever since he was a kid. And a lot of people pointed that out, but Endou had no intention of fixing it. That was how he got what he wanted. It was insincere and somewhat uncomfortable, but effectiveness is the way to go.

After complimenting Endou's work a few more times, Touru finally got to the needle work.

“Are you scared?”

“Of course not.” Endou smirked.

“Smells like it.” Touru replied with a grin and started.

As soon as the needle pierced his skin, Endou felt stranger than ever. It was painful, given the placement of the tattoo, but at the same time, it tingled. Shiver ran through Endou’s body with each stroke of Touru’s skilled hand, he found himself holding his breath with his lips pursed, trying to hold back the sounds he had never made. Wasn’t it kind of unnatural to feel like this?

“I don’t want to be unprofessional but your scent… is a little bit too much.” Touru said with his arms raised, showing that he wasn’t touching Endou. “Wait here, I’m gonna go take some pills. Should’ve done this in the first place…”

He trailed off as he left, but Endou didn’t dare to sit up. His face was beet red, and to his horror, he could feel his erection against the sheets. What is this feeling? Why was he like this? It wasn’t even sexual, Touru was just doing his job. Or was it that Endou was into SM? He didn’t see himself as such, but looking back at all the beating Takiishi did, there might be a point. Endou didn’t have more time to think since Touru was back, and he had to do his best trying to close his legs.

“Is it your pre-heat? I rarely find customers’ scent unbearable. Actually, yesterday was the first with your pal’s spicy cinnamon scent.”

“May… maybe…” Endou’s lips trembled as he answered. He didn’t want to let out any misleading sound.

Touru said something, and some more things, but Endou wasn’t able to answer at all. He bit his lips and hid his face in the thin pillow before him, he didn’t even know what to think anymore. His chest heaved up and down, and he was breathing even harder when he became conscious of his breath. At some point, Endou felt moist in the corners of his eyes. Was it pain or was it something else? He had no idea.

“Are you hurt?” Touru asked attentively. “You seem like you’re in pain.”

He couldn’t smell anything at the moment due to the pill, so he had no way of knowing Endou’s well-being. Unknown to him, Endou was more than fine. So the black haired lad shook his head and answered him with a muffled “no”. Despite his answer, the needle on his skin felt fainter, and Touru took longer breaks between each section. It prolonged the session, but they were finally done. Before Endou could find a way to deal with his erection, a faint smell of cinnamon slipped through the door and soon became stronger. It was spicy to the point that it brought tears to his eyes. Endou hadn’t even had the time to put on his shirt when Takiishi came through the door. His pace was faster than normal.

Endou flinched as he saw Takiishi, freezing in place like a deer in headlights, as if he had done something wrong. Touru greeted him, not noticing the unbearable smell coming from the other Alpha. The redhead didn’t spare him a single glance, he walked up to Endou, who was contemplating if he should put on his shirt, then grabbed him by his neck and pulled him over. Endou staggered and accidentally leaned onto
the Alpha’s chest. He was quick to apologize and sit up, but Takiishi had other plans. With his hand still around Endou’s throat, Takiishi instinctively claimed his lips, swallowing up all of his ‘sorry’s. Fierce red hair caged Endou's head, covering his teary eyes. He was grunting and whimpering while trying to push the man away, but that tongue just went in deeper and deeper, without any experience. It made Endou nauseous.

Instinctively, Endou reached up and grabbed a handful of Takiishi’s now messy hair then pulled with all his might. The redhead was caught off guard, his lips left Endou’s, although he hadn’t got enough yet. He was blinded by his own Alpha, but even if he was not, he wouldn’t see Endou’s terrified eyes anyway. Endou used to wish for this, wish for his lips to meet his, but not like this, not out of pure instinct, out of the fact that Takiishi is an Alpha and Endou is an unmated Omega, but out of love, out of care. But it was naive of Endou to even wish that Takiishi knew how to love another. He doesn’t even know how to love himself, so Endou had to do that on his part. Takiishi was about to pull Endou up by his collar for another devastating kiss when Touru, the horrified tattoo artist, finally got to his senses and stopped him.

“He was clearly uncomfortable. I suggest you stop forcing this on him.”

Takiishi looked at him, his expression indifferent. Just the shiny yellow eyes was enough to make Touru flinch but he stood his ground. He was guarding in front of a gasping Endou, who was drowned in a fit of coughing and near vomiting. Through his teary eyes, he saw Takiishi’s hand twitch. Still coughing, he almost jumped out of the operating table to shove Touru away, then hurriedly released a flurry of sweet and calming grapefruit essence. The smell was thick and fierce. It circled Takiishi, entered his nose and trickled into every corner of his body. Takiishi was still emotionless, but his eyes were now on Endou.

“Let’s go home. I think I’m in my heat.” Endou said while purposefully blocking Touru from Takiishi’s field of view.

Anyway, that was a lie. Endou wouldn’t get his heat for another two weeks, but the redhead probably wouldn’t care. He scanned Endou’s blushing face, which was obviously not from heat but from being choked, and his pent up crotch, which was also not from heat. After confirming it, Takiishi turned around and left without looking back, being sure that Endou would follow him right away. And that was what the black haired teen planned to do anyway, right after apologizing to Touru.

“Sorry, it was a mess. He doesn’t like it when I keep secrets from him.”

“And he expresses his anger by…?” Touru eyed Endou swollen lips.

“No, he doesn’t usually do that. Don’t know what’s up with him. I gotta go now. I’ll be back, I guess.”

“Wait.” Touru called as he threw his jacket to Endou. “Cover up.”

“Pervert.” Endou laughed it off, tied it around his waist and left.

Endou ran out, barely caught up with Takiishi in the crowd before he turned around and noticed that he wasn’t there. The grapefruit scent stuck in Takiishi’s head, so much that he didn’t notice Endou not being close to him. It was not until they arrived home did he realize something was wrong. An unfamiliar scent crept into his nose even though the grapefruit scent surrounding him was thick. It was revolting. He snapped his head back to see Endou wrapped in someone else’s jacket, an ugly leather jacket that he would never pick up, let alone wear. And he knew that Endou wouldn’t have such disgusting taste in clothing too, he was the one Takiishi allowed close to him after all. That hideous piece of skin must have belonged to the punk back at the tattoo shop.

Wasting no second, Takiishi strode to Endou and stripped him off the jacket, his eyes telling Endou that if he got his hands on a lighter, the fashion industry would get rid of a failure. However, he opened the window and threw it out, then Endou had to make a mental note to buy Touru another one that was equally unsightly. Takiishi tackled Endou to the couch with just one arm, earning a grunt from the other. He hovered over him, caging him between his arms and went in for another violent kiss. Endou’s blue eyes shut tight as Takiishi’s hand enveloped his neck just right, just enough force to keep him barely breathing. He might as well embrace it, because this was the only chance for half of his feelings to be reciprocate, which were wanting to be fucked mindless by Takiishi.

Endou emitted his Omega scent again, sweeter, thicker mating scent, making Takiishi unconsciously release his own. Their scents intertwined in Endou’s small studio, it was hot and suffocating, but neither of them paid it any mind, instead, they seemed like they were drunk in that smell. In a fleeting moment, Endou felt incredibly brave, like any drunk person, he took off his own shirt and flipped his body over to show off the new tattoo on his shoulder blade. Through his bangs, he looked at Takiishi with waiting eyes, hoping for something, anything, to come out of that stone faced man.

“So he touched this place.” Takiishi then took off his own shirt, just to rub the fresh tattoo over and over.

The sensation burned. Endou was half scared that it would mess up the tattoo, but who cared when Takiishi was being so possessive over him. He knew that it was probably just his Apha telling him to do so, but what was the harm in indulging yourself once in a while? Endou was sick of pretending each of Takiishi’s touch, each of his very few words to him didn’t make his whole stomach dance.

“I knew the meaning of the tattoo.” Takiishi simply said as he licked Endou’s neck.

Endou turned around so fast that he could feel his neck almost snap, but Takiishi pinned his head to the cushion to keep doing whatever he felt like doing. He almost purred at the sensation of being oppressed by Takiishi. This is dangerous, he might just blurt out that he loved him. Takiishi’s hot breath on his wet skin was enticing. It wasn’t like Takiishi had never been panting above him, it happened all the time when Takiishi felt the need to beat the living shit out of him, and while Endou loved both situations the same, this was just hotter. The long haired kept licking and biting all over, he even flipped Endou again just to leave more hickeys on his skin.

“This is no good.” Endou laughed. “I was going to get more tattoos tomorrow.”

“I don’t allow you to get more.” Takiishi said as he strengthened his bite around Endou’s nipple, making the mark bleed. These would be permanent.

Takiishi stripped Endou out of his pants just to place even more marks on both of his thighs. Every inch of Endou’s skin was itchy, and he wished Takiishi would bite him more to ease the itch. The redhead found his way between the other’s long legs to the damped underwear. The piece of fabric was reeking strong grapefruit essence. Taking in a lungful of the sweet citrus smell, Takiishi pulled the clothing out with his mouth, with the taste of Endou teasing his tongue. He lapped greedily at the wet hole, poked deep inside with his tongue just to get more of the addictive taste he was granted. Endou was squirming under his touch with his toes curled and his fingers dug deep into the cushion. At this point it might rip.

The long haired wasted no time to undress himself, showing Endou his already erected member. Not letting him have any time to prepare anything, Takiishi ramped himself into Endou’s gaping hole, eliciting a shout out of his mouth. His insides were twitching, trying to get used to the large foreign object. Despite the wetness of his ass pussy, blood was trickling down the couch. It hurted, and it burned so bad, but to Endou, the sensation was immaculate. This was what he was wishing for when masturbating to the thought of Takiishi embracing him. Grunting, moaning and purring, he made sure that Takiishi knew he was feeling good. It was just how Omega and Alpha communicate during sexual intercourse.

The shaft inside Endou got bigger. It was Takiishi’s knot. Endou was about to hook his legs around his hips and scoot closer to get that big knot deeper inside him, but then the hotness of the contact inside him reminded him that Takiishi wasn’t wearing protection. He wiggled out of Takiishi’s arms, just to be trapped tightly again. Takiishi bit his neck, just to show him who was incharge.

“Takiishi, fuck, it’s me, you wouldn’t want to knock me up right? That would be a hassle.”

“I would.”

“What?” Endou widened his eyes as Takiishi pushed his knot deeper inside, and he could feel the warmth of semen in his belly. “No, no, no!”

“You leaving me would be a hassle.”

“I would leave both you and the unformed kid if you knock me up.” Endou threatened.

“Then I would break your legs.”

“That’s just… No, I will never leave you, so let me go!” Endou pushed and kicked with all his might, but Takiishi had always been stronger than him. “I will let you mate me, so please…”

Endou said as he guided Takiishi hand to his nape, where the scent gland was, then at the same time released even more of his sweet sweet pheromone. Takiishi was hypnotized. He was drawn to the back of Endou's neck as if the scent gland had a magnetic field of its own that rivaled the sun and he was a lost star that suddenly found its path for the next billions of centuries. Sharp fangs sank into soft skin, it wasn’t enough for blood to ooze out, but sweetened drops of red honey traveled along his teeth and imbued onto his tongue, intoxicating him as if it was vodka. He licked the wound, then calmly admired his clean bite. But the blood kept flowing nonstop. A mating bite should close up right away after absorbing the Alpha’s saliva then form a white scar, or else it was just a normal bite.

Takiishi’s eyes widened. He lapped at the wound again, again and again. His mouth had been coated with a layer of Endou’s blood by then, but the bleeding hadn’t stopped. The sweet blood turned bitter in his mouth while Takiishi was still trying to stop the bleeding. The beige carpet they had seemed to have more color than Endou. Endou’s breathing slowed. Each breath came out slow and labored, it became dangerous. Takiishi didn’t know how he successfully rushed Endou into the hospital, but he did. He sat outside the emergency room. It was strange. Endou had never been like this before. He had seen him shedding more blood, so much that he could almost see his black hair turn crimson, so much that he looked like a blood angel. But it was never critical. Or was it? He didn’t care enough. After all, Endou would be back after one or two nights, it was all good.

But it was different now. Something was creeping up Takiishi’s spine. Something ugly, something cold. It spreaded out, wave after wave, making him unable to breath. He tried lifting his hand, his ever so powerful hand, but it was shaking like crazy, then dropped onto his thigh as if it was useless. He heard the door opening, it gave him a new kind of wave, but it was unpleasant all the same. He was able to move his head somehow, probably thanks to the grapefruit smell slipping out from inside the room. The doctor babbled on and on to him, but his hearing stopped at “He can’t be marked by an Alpha.”.

Takiishi pushed the doctor aside and stormed into the room, to the weak looking Endou on the bed, which was strange, since Endou was always ridiculously cheerful with his stupid smile plastered on his face. Endou smiled at him, a weak smile, like the state he was in.

“I really wanted you to mark me. Really. Honestly.” Endou began speaking. “You are the only one that makes me feel this way.”

“I love you, really.” He added after some seconds of hearing nothing. “It won’t change. I won’t ever leave just because I can’t be marked.”

Takiishi came closer, lifted up his blanket and shirt, then roughly, though a bit less force than usual since his hand was still shaking, pushed Endou so he could see the tattoo he had matching with him on his shoulder. He pressed his lips onto the inked skin. It was warm, not cold. Endou’s cheeks blossomed, they were pink, not as pale as paper. The smell from Endou’s scent gland was like a thread circling Takiishi’s neck, pulling him closer and closer to the bandaged skin. Sensing a hot breath on his neck, Endou turned back, instinctively covering his wounded nape with a hand while looking at Takiishi. His eyes were widened in terror. He was scared. For the first time, he showed Takiishi fear. Irritated without even knowing the actual reason that actually made sense, Takiishi pulled the bandages down, revealing Endou’s bloody skin and sank his fangs into the skin, slower and more carefully, then lapped at both of the wounds that he had just created. The result was the same. It was disappointing. Then he left without saying a word.

Due to the new wound, Endou got held in by the hospital for four days, not two as initially planned. When he was finally back to his apartment, he was immediately tackled to the ground by Takiishi, who kissed him hungrily. Takiishi’s kissing skill was almost nonexistent, but somehow that was what turned Endou on. He would try to guide the kiss, then get bitten on the tongue by an annoyed Takiishi. And the pain was incredible. The sloppy kiss dropped onto his chin, then around his neck, to his freshly closed wound. Takiishi got closer, once again grazing his fang on Endou’s nape. This time his teeth pricked the skin, enough to draw blood but not enough to make it critical.

“Are you still upset? That I can’t be marked by the Alpha-Omega connection?”

Takiishi scoffed, but he kept lapping at the small wound. It became a habit. He had Endou sleeping on the same bed as him, “it’s easier this way”, then left a red mark on his nape every morning. The old wound closed up and became a white scar, not as neat as a mating scar, but still romantic all the same. Endou was happy with what he had, no he was more than happy. He couldn’t express how content he was with Takiishi by his side, marking him everyday. Although their relationship still somewhat resembled the past, there were more kisses, more sex and less beating. Endou couldn’t wish for better. Takiishi still didn’t talk much, but Endou knew that he enjoyed marking him. It might just be him being extremely territorial. But whatever.

“Takiishi… ah… you’re doing it… too hard.” Endou moaned into the pillow was Takiishi’s teeth sunk into his nape.

But Takiishi persisted. Endou’s breath shortened, he panted like a terrified animal in a trap.

“Takiishi… you know we can’t do it.”

He stubbornly deepened the bite. Endou let out a pained cry, but he didn’t stop. For some minutes that felt like an eternity, he released him, revealing four deep dents on the skin, bleeding out nonstop. Then he licked the wound again and again, until Endou’s whole neck turned red due to the rash. It was like he was in denial. The wound wouldn’t close up. As if he was hypnotized, Takiishi went in for another bite. But Endou stopped him.

“Takiishi, I really can’t! I will just bleed out and die.” Endou said, tears forming in his eyes.

Takiishi didn’t answer. But he didn’t sink his teeth in, just grazing Endou’s sensitive skin. Endou kept shivering. He should be feeling cold as he was losing blood, but the body all over him was too hot. After a lot of kissing, licking and sniffing, Takiishi finally laid down next to him and went to sleep, not before throwing Endou the first aid kit that Endou bought just for this reason.

The next morning, somehow Endou found himself and Takiishi at the tattoo shop. Yes, the tattoo shop where they caused a scene then left, whose owner lent Endou an ugly jacket, which was thrown out by Takiishi. Somehow Touru wasn’t in the shop, but it was open and Takiishi dragged Endou in.

“You want us to get another matching tattoo?” Endou asked, his voice sounding excited.

Takiishi didn’t reply. He led Endou into the beck of the tattoo shop. There were the same tools as the front of the shop, but the lights were dim, so it looked eerie despite the shining silver tools. Takiishi pushed Endou down on the operating table then washed his hands. Endou didn’t know how it got to this, but he was twitching under Takiishi’s wet touch with all that skin-prepping procedure. It felt different from when Touru did it. Maybe it was because of the pheromone, maybe because it was Takiishi, Endou felt that he was reacting to the touch a lot more. Takiishi only worked with the skin on his chest, but his thighs were rubbing together, his hands twitching, wanting to touch that place between his legs.

Takiishi wasn’t as skillful with a needle as Touru, so the process hurted a lot more. But it was oh so pleasant. Endou grunted when the needle pierced his skin, then the grunts turned into short breaths, mixed with moans and cries. Sweat started pooling on his skin, making it glittery under the light. It went on for hours without rest, except for small breaks when Takiishi stopped working with the needle to suck his dick and played with his hole until he cum all over the table. Endou fainted then woke up, got over stimulated, then fainted and got up again and again. The table was a mess when they were done. Black ink got mixed into bodily fluids, cum and tears and sweat and saliva, the smell in the room was horrendous. But Endou woke up, and he was pleased that Takiishi marked him all by himself in his own way. Looking at the infinity symbol on his neck, which was the most painful but most pleasurable one, he felt like kissing Takiishi.

So he did. And Takiishi returned the kiss almost immediately. Wiping the sweat on Takiishi’s forehead with the back of his hand, Endou thought their relationship had definitely gone to the next level. They were probably as close as any couple now, with proper branding and mating intercourse. It felt like a fairytale, it felt like he should end this story with a “And they lived happily ever after.”.

However, Takiishi was not pleased. He wanted to do nipple piercing, but that is a story to be told later on.

Notes:

I hate how this turned out. It could have been better with the original idea, but I was burned out when I have already wrote half of it, so please bare with me. I promise the ones in the future would be better.
