Work Text:
“Don’t do that!”, Leon's voice tones sharp from the doorframe.
Trevor jumped from the sudden interruption, the scissors in his hand snapping shut around the hair strand he was working on, closer to the roots than he’d wanted to, as the unexpected movement pressed them closer to his head than intended.
“But Leo!”, whines Trevor, watching the loose hair fall into the sink, “It was getting way too long!”
Their eyes meet in the reflection of the mirror, Leon’s filled with a certain degree of despair.
“C’mon, it’s not that bad!”
The look turned judgemental.
“It really is.”, there’s a sneer in Leon’s voice.
He reaches out to touch the most recently cut strand. Promptly some of the hair that was sticking to the still attached ones fell out, courtesy of the thinning scissors Trevor had used.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed Küken, but your hair here is now about two centimeters long.”
Trevor takes the chance to tease: “Ooh, fancy European man, using centimeters instead of those weird inches us uncultured Americans use”
Leon let out a long, frustrated sigh.
“Also! That place is entirely your fault, if you hadn’t scared me, it would be longer!”
“You do know that none of the pieces are about the same length? Or even in a similar enough range to blend into something cohesive? You could’ve just arranged an appointment with a professional or asked me! You know I cut Davo’s hair regularly.”, even without the mirror, the fond smile on his face would’ve been noticeable in his voice.
Trevor’s mouth formed into a pout: “I didn’t feel like leaving the house today. And forgive me for being a good boyfriend and letting you sleep!”
“And now I’m awake, so give me…”, Leon underlines his words with a grabbing motion at the scissors.
Trevor hands them over begrudgingly.
Leon tries to save what he could, but the end result wouldn’t be better than a Wayne-Gretzky-esque mullet.
“I’m so gonna get chirped for this.”, was Trevor’s only reaction.
Leon rolled his eyes and gently pulled his boyfriend's head back and pressed a soft kiss onto Trevor’s lips.
“Better than before?”, he inquires.
Trevor couldn’t help but smile up: “Better.”.
