Summary
A year after reclaiming Erebor, Thorin returns to the Shire to find Hamfast Gamgee has gotten a little too close to Bilbo in his absence. With the annual Hobbiton-Bywater fair starting, what’s a gallant dwarf king to do, but beat his rival at his own games and win his hobbit’s heart? It would’ve been easy, if they had been dwarf contests. Hobbit contests, though - those are another matter entirely.
