Chapter Text

A year had passed since that fateful day, and Tiffany was now in Seoul, living the life she had always dreamed of. She had new friends, new opportunities, and a bright future ahead of her. But despite everything, something was missing.

At a party celebrating the end of high school, Tiffany found herself surrounded by laughter and music, but she felt detached, as if she were watching the festivities from afar. She took a sip of her drink, trying to drown out the melancholy that had been creeping into her thoughts all evening.

“Hey, Tiff! You okay?” Her friend, Sooyoung, asked, noticing her quiet demeanor.

Tiffany forced a smile. “Yeah, just tired, I guess.”

Sooyoung grinned, handing her another drink. “Come on, it’s a party! Let’s celebrate! We’ve finished high school, and we’re about to take on the world!”

Tiffany nodded, taking the drink and downing it quickly. But as the alcohol started to take effect, her thoughts drifted back to Jessica. The way she had confessed her feelings, the hurt in her eyes when Tiffany had rejected her. No boyfriend she had met in Seoul could compare to the happiness she had felt with Jessica. None of them could make her laugh the way Jessica did, or understand her the way Jessica had.

“I need another drink,” Tiffany muttered, making her way to the bar. She needed to forget, to push those thoughts out of her mind.

As the night wore on, Tiffany kept drinking, trying to drown out the memories that kept surfacing. But no matter how much she drank, she couldn’t escape the truth—she missed Jessica, and she regretted pushing her away.

By the time the party was winding down, Tiffany was stumbling, barely able to stand. Sooyoung and another friend, Hyoyeon, rushed to her side, supporting her as she swayed unsteadily.

“Come on, Tiff, let’s get you home,” Hyoyeon said, her voice full of concern.

“I’m fine,” Tiffany slurred, trying to push them away.

“No, you’re not,” Sooyoung insisted. “We’re taking you home.”

Tiffany didn’t resist as they led her out of the party, her thoughts still spinning. As they helped her into the car, she whispered, “I should’ve told her… I should’ve told Jessica…”

Sooyoung exchanged a worried glance with Hyoyeon, but neither of them said anything. They drove Tiffany home in silence, unsure of what to say or how to comfort their friend.

When they finally arrived at Tiffany’s apartment, they helped her inside and onto her bed. As she drifted off to sleep, the last thought in Tiffany’s mind was of Jessica—of how she had let her go, and how she might never get her back.
