Kunikida blinked at Dazai, mouth opening and closing like a fish. Dazai had to physically restrain himself from laughing, tucking his hand over his mouth.
“You used to be with the Port Mafia?” His voice was surprisingly quiet. Dazai nodded slowly.
“Yep.” He grins. “It was four years ago. I left.” Kunikida seems to regain his mental function after a moment.
“So that’s why no one was ever able to guess your job. Huh. Does anyone here know?”
“Um, Ranpo and the President. I think Yosano has suspicion but she doesn’t know for sure.” Dazai blinked innocently at him. “And now you.”
Kunikida frowned. “Dazai... are you... okay?” He seems unusually concerned for Dazai’s well being.
“Peachy. It’s fun seeing the look on Mori’s face whenever we fight him and he remembers I’m not his right hand anymore.” Dazai giggles, standing from the booth and making his way past Kunikida. Kunikida blinks after him.
“Well, Dazai? You seem like a much better person now than anyone who ever could have been the Port Mafia Bosses right hand.”
