Work Text:
The radio is on when Erin comes home, an old valve-based one her grandfather keeps. He has gone to bed already, as he has since Erin was young - she must only have been fourteen or so when he stopped waiting up for her and her grandmother to come home.
It is strange he left it on, though. She approaches, hearing only static. Maybe music would be nice while she makes some to eat. She fiddles with the dials and-
"Hello granddaughter."
This again?
Erin yanks the power cord from the socket, and abandons the radio in the name of ramen.
